An artist who put out a fantastic album this year.

I thought it was a pretty funny night. I'm not the audience for SZA so I zipped thru on the DVR since I am old as dirt and have to watch the next morning

Jonah Hill goes from fat as a house to in shape and looking good and then back on a regular basis.

The musical guests have been terrible the last couple of years. Metallica put out a new album, which is fantastic BTW, lobbied to get on the show, and couldn’t. That’s a disgrace no matter what you think of them. If a band that historically significant wants on the show, you put them on the show.

Yeah. The opening was cringe worthy. Really should have been more prepared

She’s pretty popular. Show was solid.

Metallica's too heavy for that show. Foo Fighters are on next week and will probably be the hardest rock band they've had on in years.

Lorne Michaels is basically Jerry Jones levels of out of touch. That’s not to say Metallica is the super hip band to book for the show, but he doesn’t exactly have his finger on the pulse of what’s popular. I think Weekend Update is still making Bill Cosby jokes for example.

He's one of those guys who looks weird thin. It's like his body is meant to be a little chubby. Dude looked legit "not well" last night and his face looked about 10 years older.

I watch SNL on a weekly basis. Usually after I’ve had a drink or two. I sit back relax and just kind of zone in and out.

Every now and then I’ll catch a pretty bad episode and have just enough liquor to think...psssh. I could write this shite. Last night was one of those episodes.

If you’re familiar with how SNL works, the writers are basically the sketch crew. If you have a good crew, you’ll get good material. Other times like what we got now, it sucks pretty hard more often than not.

The cold open was pretty good concept but they decided to go too heavy on the Liberal/Progressive agenda setting. I didn’t think it was particularly clever either. I can excuse political bias if it’s clever and funny. It was neither.

The kids they pulled, half couldn’t read. One kid didn’t know the lines and they just talked over her. Kids are tricky. Half can’t read for shite anyway, the other barely listen.

I've read that he decided a long time ago - by the mid 90s - that his core audience was high schoolers. That means he favors jokes that are more pop culture oriented or aimed at low hanging fruit. I think it's also reflected in the musical guests in that you see a preference for mainstream bland pop.

One of the kids said something about the adult being a “typical libtard” and made another crack at liberals. I thought it was more even than most of their stuff.

I must have missed it. I had trouble understanding most of the kids.

I think he does, just not with your half the country.

I just can't decide if Franco need reading glasses or less pot.
He looks like Gilbert Godfrey at times.

Wasn't a bad night.
I liked Michael Che as a liberal white woman.
Some good skits some bombs.

Also a lot of writers are never on camera. Colin Jost is the head writer and only does the news.
