And using acronyms for any long-titled show is pretty standard on the internet. Get over yourself.

Tell me more about the search function.

ETA: I'm not going to go dig up a thread I started over a year or two ago calling this show out, but I certainly remember the responses and my point remains.

Couldn't agree more. One of the least funny shows I've seen.

Very surprised this was said before The Office. There are a lot of fools out there that dont appreciate/understand that kind of humor.

I saw several episodes of The Big Bang Theory when I was back home. I was expecting to laugh all the way through the show. I don't know if I even cracked a smile.

Seinfeld.

It's funny, yes, but not as funny to me as everyone makes it out to be. I decided to rent the whole seasons and "get into them." I didn't get past the first.

30 Rock is funny and witty, but the show or the characters never evolve. Like many sitcoms that have worn out their welcome, it's going through the motions.

That's pretty much bullshite

I've seen the pro BBT people on this board make that argument multiple times...it usually starts with "if you don't think BBT is funny then you just don't get it or it's over your head"

And no I'm not linking threads because Im on my phone and the search function is hot garbage...

no, it doesn't. You are making it up. Or thinking of another board. I couldn't remember a thread where that happened here, and then I went to go look for it to see if my memory was correct -- it was.

I'm right, you're wrong.

I don't mind if you don't like the show -- but don't give me the whole you're sticking it to the elitists angle. It's simply not true.

Yeah, I can use the serahc function. Because I like these things called "facts".

I think the Big Bang Theory is fricking horrible. And I love the posters on this board that go to bat for this show and accuse every non-believer that we just aren't smart enough to get it, as if the humor is so high brow and inspired that little ole me can't figure it out.

Big bang theory is just okay IMO, but the fanbase of that show is the worst. They think they are so clever and awesome and if you don't like it you are just not smart enough to understand.

Replace "Big Bang Theory" with "Lost" and you have the same phenomenon...

ETA: I'm of the camp that you can't really consider a television show that is designed to succeed on a major network "smart" simply because in order to have success on a major network, a show has to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and thus by definition can't be "smart".
