Is this show actually any good? I feel like people were laughing at it in season 1. If it’s ultra violent I might check it out someday.

Took me forever to slug through this show. The premise is dope but damn drags at times. Has some really good fight scenes.

Yes and no. It’s a fantastic production with some genuinely great battle scenes, but it’s loaded with silly character with dumb plot points and a completely inconsistent reality of the characters’ situations and limitations. They do shut even people who can see would never be able to do.

It’s dumb fun. You’ll enjoy the ride but feel your IQ took a beating

I didn’t know this was a Yellowstone thread.

I just finished all 3 seasons…as others have said, it is hard to describe just how ridiculous the show is…but it DOES have a certain pull…I can’t explain it, but I could not stop watching it…so if you get around to it, just do so for pure entertainment, and be willing to forsake all sense of reason.

agreed... the whole time I watched I knew it wasn't a great show but I couldn't stop watching anyway.

The son, Kofu is possibly the worst character on the show. Followed up by his sister. Every time the kids are shown it's tough to watch, cringe worthy almost. I hate every decision they make.

Now, with that being said the story line that follows the two queen sisters and Bobba Vos is great. Just any time their annoying kids get involved the show is worse IMO.

But agree with everyone else. It's not great but once you start you're going to want to finish it. Especially once you get past the slow S1.

I finally started watching Yellowstone recently and am halfway through the first season. So far it's the cowboy version of This is Us: tons of melodrama with one bad thing after another happening to the same people. It's laughable while also wildly entertaining.

So is everyone basically like Daredevil, where they are blind but somehow can sense everything so well that they basically "see"? Or is everyone stumbling around with blind walking sticks?

Everyone is walking around with walking sticks; however, everyone has basically superhuman enhanced other senses.

I think this about perfectly sums it up. When the show is fun it is very fun, but it also can spend a lot of time spinning its wheels and retreading over the same story lines at times.

I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic shows, so it was an easy watch for me, but it's not an all-time great show. Fun show to watch, but we'll all forget about it 6 months from now and will never feel the need to re-watch.

I get everyone's critique of the show. It has big name actors and high production value, but it is fantasy/fiction, so you look at it through that lens. I liked it.

Sibeth however, as the OP said is a really strange and vile character. Her way of speaking alone makes her very strange.

Also, I am in agreement with some of the supporting characters being terrible actors. The two kids especially. The show would really benefit from the Son dying, he is terrible and is always in peril. It is amazing that the characters that see are the worst at getting caught.

welllll not exactly. While I haven't watched the newest season yet, up until this point they are supposed to be true blinds. That's the problem with the show; they will go from having severe limitations due to their blindness in one scene only to show superhuman levels of feats in the next. It's hilariously inconsistent and stupid, and it is fun a shite regardless.

The premise of the show is interesting and some of the things going in sticks with the limitations you could expect in such a world, but then they randomly go off the rails and have the blind people doing things which Daredevil would call bullshite on. The inconsistency eventually becomes commonplace and you just roll with it (although I never could get to the point where the blind were far superior fighters to the sighted).

But to the OP, yes... Sibeth was a great villain. The voice tones the actress used when portraying her were an excellent touch that drove home for me how batshit crazy she was each time she spoke. There was just something in the sound of the voice that resonated with "there's no amount of reasoning which will ever get through my wall of batshit crazy psychosis".

Yeah but even in the first couple of seasons they have people who can magically count how many people are in the opposing army just by sound and footsteps.

It's fun, but it's ridiculous lol
