What shows are similar to "Alone" that are not reality based like Survivor. I really hate Survivor.

I used to enjoy Les on Survivorman. Thought he was the best compared to similar shows.

Man Vs. Wild was really good. A little more theatrical but pretty dang entertaining.

There's a new show coming out on Netflix called Outlast that I think looks interesting. However, the element of developing alliances and getting supply drops from producers gives it the Survivor vibe. So maybe its a mixture of Alone and Survivor? 16 individuals have to form 4 person teams and finish as a team to win $1 million. Last 4 man team standing wins.
