Profit- that was good dark comedy. They made it a little to weird...he lived under a table and banged his step mother regularly. Later about 5 episodes.

Kind of surprised to not see Studio 60 make the list, I enjoyed it.

Obviously they get the benefit of not having to sustain their peak over multiple seasons given that they were cut early, but with that in mind these are two of my all-time favorite series. They are simply nonstop peak for their entirety, brilliant all around.

For those who recommended Firefly, does it come to a reasonable conclusion or was it abruptly ended?

It sounds so like it's very good so I'm thinking of checking it out, but not if there's no conclusion at the end.

TIA!

It gets wrapped up neatly with a follow-up full-length movie.

Party down was doomed to fail.

It had way too much up and coming talent for them all to be happy with onlt a premium cable TV show.

Millennium-Made by same guy as X-Files lasted I think 3 seasons. Sad thing cancelled in 1999 after setting up a huge event in Y2K. Sad how they tried to wrap it up on a horrible X-Files episode.

Agree with:
Firefly
Rome
Deadwood
Carnivale
