This show is on the DVR every week. I like seeing the unique products that people pitch. I like to see different styles of presenting their products and how invested they are in it. I also like to see the Sharks go through the thought process to determine what their idea of a good investment is to them. I find the show entertaining and educational about business. One of the few reality shows that actually serve a purpose.

exactly and it isn't layered in too much bullshite i.e no host, crappy emotional devices...etc.
It just highlights hard work and ingenuity. It's awesome.

Have any of y'all bought one of the products that they pitch on the show?

I'm just about to place an order for some Painted Pretzels actually.
And I think I've seen at least two separate products at Mavs games now

Fantastic show, but they need to replace Damon. As soon as the white folks walk in the door, he's all like "sorry, but I'm out"

Huh?
I really enjoy this show. Fun to see these new ideas that people come up with. And at the end of the day even if they dont get investors they just got free advertising on national TV.

It is a good show but I only seem to watch it when nothing else is on.

The better version is the one started on Canadian Broadcast Television!

this is one reason why i think the show is so good. I've never seen a truly shitty idea presented to the investors, and I assume its because there are lots of products to choose from. Every inventor in the world is trying to get free publicity from the show so the producers have lots to pick from.
Oh and Damon ain't racist. He's just picky. Robert is the investor who never seems to invest.

The people who make me shake my head are the ones who don't realize that they are supposed to be pitching a company, not a product. And most of the self evaluations are great.
"I'd like $500,000 for a 5% stake."
"What are your sales so far?"
"Our sales? Umm, currently our sales are $1200."
Its funny to watch them stammer like guys on Cops who get asked if they've ever been arrested before.

I think Lori invests the most, but that's prob because she can put most of these products on QVC and sell the hell out of them. She made a millionaire out of a guy who put a piece of metal and a magnet together to make a holder for reading glasses.

Yep. There are some products on there like that one that are PERFECT for QVC. Pair it with the sale of reading glasses and profit.

Damon is OK, but he seems to get butt-hurt a lot and you can tell his ego is crushed that Cuban is the investor that most of the product inventors want to hear from. Cuban actually seems to be the one that, more often than not, recognizes that the inventors are not great business people and does not try to embarrass them.
Robert often has good input but he is reluctant to get involved if it is going to require any effort on his part. He just wants a package deal that already has sales orders and only needs money.
I'm just glad they got rid of the infomercial guy from season 1 and replaced him with Cuban.

I thoroughly enjoy this show as well. I think it may be the business background in me, but its fascinating seeing how the sharks evaluate these products and approach them monetarily.
I also enjoy the "Lets see his they're doing now" part where you actually get to see how some of these products are selling a year or so after they aired on the show.

I always liked this show and thought it was pretty good. But the addition of Cuban has made the show
great. Guy speaks his mind.

I heard, so not sure if true, that you have to give 5% of the show to the producer even if you are turned down.
