This sort of explains why he actually did SNL, wanted to announce the Netflix show while his name was in the news.

I loved his Netflix special but he sucked on SNL.

In addition, Netflix has ordered another stand-up special from Gillis. His 2023 special, Beautiful Dogs, reached the Netflix Top 10 in five countries and spent two weeks in the U.S. Top 10.

Trailer will be interesting to see how they structure it as a show. Hard to imagine him working in a traditional sitcom format, but Netflix gives him the ability to sort of do whatever type of structure he wants

The trailer used to be on Youtube (and maybe more, I can't remember). It's essentially a sitcom set in a tire shop.

I don’t understand the hate for Schulz, what’s the issue with him? I can understand the hate for someone like Bert, someone I loved a few years ago but he turned into a drunken mess, even more than he was before.

Not sure & I don't recall Matt being in many of the other sketches
I know that Matt & Shane's patreon busted over 80k subscribers which is said to bring them close to $600k a month alone
Add in the paid ads and revenue from the podcast and Ol Matt may be comfy right where he is
