They have some work to do. They really hyped up “Ghost Face in New York” and then totally dropped the ball with it being filmed in Montreal. It never felt anything like New York, which wouldn’t have been a problem if they hadn’t made such a big deal of it.
On top of that, the “reveal” was horrible. It was so much fun when the meta aspect of these films was subtle, but now they just hit you over the forehead with META!

Lets be honest here, the last one sucked. In a scream movie you have to do two things to make it successful, balance the meta humor vs cheesiness and nail the killer reveal.
The last one did fine with the Meta humor part but the killers and reveal was horrible.
