She was introduced in the early 2000s but more highlighted in 2011 with Spider City storyline. I have seen people trying to connect her to a very old comic character who was another super soldier experiment called “goddess of spiders” but they’re two different characters. I only mention this because there’s a theory that she invented the web shooters and I know how Disney Marvel likes to leap frog or retcon lore in this way.

She can manipulate other people with the spider gene so Spidey becomes helpless against her.
