No, but Netflix paid him well to make 4 movies exclusive to their service.
Sandler is a smart business man, have to give it to him.
I enjoyed the movie also, this was a good effort.

I'd love to see the direction Sandler's career went if Farley was alive. He would have been the bigger star.

I saw the trailer and still think it looks like something I'd watch before the days of netflix when it came on TBS and there was nothing else on. Not sure if I can make myself watch this on netflix ahead of everything else on my list.

I actually thought is was good. Usually hate Sandler movies but the SO likes him so we watched. It was , not bad.

Wow. I was surprised by how much I liked this movie. First Sandler movie in years I enjoyed.
The plot was pretty damn good. The movie well written. Not the funniest thing in the world but certainly enjoyable.

I'd just like to add that by all accounts he's also a really nice guy that's given a bunch of his buddies careers they'd otherwise probably never approached. And he's managed to get some fairly big name actors to do his movies and celebrity cameos as well. You don't get Woody Harrelson to play a transvesite hooker or Dave Matthews to play a metro closet gay guy if you're a dick.
I honestly don't get the hate. The vast majority of his movies are entertaining. I doubt Sandler is worried about Oscars.
