Miguel Sapochnik also directed “Hardholme” and “Battle of the Bastards”

quote:

On-set, Sansa Stark actress Sophie Turner jokingly told Sapochnik she heard the battle episode in season 8 would end up running 90 minutes. Sapochnik only grinned and walked away. According to Entertainment Weekly, this episode is expected to feature the longest continuous battle ever filmed.

While “Battle of the Bastards” took 25 days of shooting, this final season episode took 11 weeks

E3 of #GameOfThrones S8, the Battle of Winterfell, will feature the longest battle sequence in film or TV history. The episode boasts the most characters since the pilot & director Miguel Sapochnik says it's longer than 'The Lord of the Rings' Helm's Deep siege ??

The only way it could get more hype is for Clegane Bowl to occur in the same episode.

GRRM he told the writers how it’s supposed to end and I doubt Sam will die because he is GRRM.

Last episode ends with a shot of the fat man finishing the story, closing the book, and keeling over dead

I just don't see how Cleganebowl happens unless it's a Wight Hound.

I will be truly dissapointed if that didn't at least happen

Very unique actor (tall and rail thin) who’s played a bunch of horror type characters

He's known for playing really odd/large creatures. Likely could just be a giant wight, but maybe it's something else.
