When I want porn, I watch porn. When I watch a movie I expect it to have a good story/ action etc. From the previews it just seems to be a movie with a "hunky" lead male actor partying and having a bunch of sex. These type movies are a dime a dozen in Hollywood. How much more is there to the movie and is it worth seeing in theatre?

The band is pretty good. Hall of Fame quality even.

It's a good popcorn flick about a little known rivalry in sports. The racing sequences are well done.

what preview are you talking about?

all the ones I have seen make it very clear its about a race car driver who gets all jacked up in a wreck and fights back to battle his rival.

Neil Peart is, perhaps, the best rock drummer of all time.

Why? I think it looks pretty solid. It has a good RT score and it's a Ron Howard film.

Uh... really? That's what you got out of the preview?

Well, to answer your question, Rush is a fantastic movie and is about far more than sex. It's definitely worth a watch. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Yes... LINK goes to hospital immediately has unrealistic stupid sex scene with nurse. Lots of other hot girls. I know its racing and there are plenty of girls but I was hoping there was also a good story involved.

Thanks, I am going to offer the choices of this and Bad Grandpa to my date, I am sure this will be the one we end up seeing. I wanted to see Gravity but her friend said it was bad.

I also got a negative impression based off of the previews, but it currently holds an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, and an 8.3 on IMBD.

Both very positive signs for this movie. I'll probably make an effort to see it once it comes out on DVD.

If Bad Grandpa is an option for your date, you're probably youngish. Rush is awesome, but it is somewhat slow in places. Is this a first date or have you been seeing this girl for some time? Is she a movie buff or just casual fan? If you are indeed young (I.e. still in college) and it's a first date and she's not a movie buff, go see Bad Grandpa. She won't enjoy Rush. Otherwise, see Rush.

I hope you gave a good surround sound system and a big arse TV because the sounds and visuals are unbelievable.

Rush was awesome.

Aside from Mud, it is my favorite film of the year.

There's nothing not to like about it.

I loved Rush and there really wasnt that much sex in it at all. Liam Hemsworth did a great job in the film but the actor who portrayed Niki Lauda was awesome.

I love F1 and really thought this movie did a great job of capturing the spirit of F1.

On an unrelated note: I read that Tom Cruise may play Carrol Shelby in another racing movie set at Le Mans about how Ford entered and was accepted into the European racing world. Wish someone besides Cruise was picked but the story sounds great to me.
