For having a discussion about movies on the movie board? Is it past your bed time, old man?

Perfect example that this is all nonsense. The budget for this film is around 40 million.

There's a lot of smoke regarding Gunn potentially being dismissed.

They literally state they're not sure if it's profitable or not. People are running with this because they don't like Gunn. It's that simple. Why would Zaslav be approving projects for massive flops like Madking believes? Don't you agree that sounds pretty ridiculous? Zaslav is a corporate ahole. He's in this for profits, nothing else.

It wasn’t a massive flop at all but it didn’t make much money and relied on ancillaries to get there. Based on the budget that’s pretty clear

The thought is Zaslav wants Gunn to continue making content to make the bidding / IP more attractive.

And only new thing that was greenlit lately was MOT which isn’t a big risk. It’s not like Zaslav is letting him make the Authority movie he wanted

Calm down, you’re spiraling. You completely exaggerated my comments, ignoring reality. You didn’t read the Forbes article until just now, skimming it then coming in here and misrepresenting what it says. We get you’re a Gunn shill but get a grip.

Gunns universe is off to an amazing start

Well, except that’s objectively false, and verifiable.
Once again, Gunn’s Superman made less money than Snyder’s Man of Steel.
That’s not amazing, that’s disappointing.

Again, this is a movie board and we're having a discussion about movies. If you can't handle that, head somewhere else. Try the OT, maybe you'll like it over there.

No.. probably in the minority but i liked 2 better to be honest. Neither of them felt like a complete movie beginning to end like 1.

They’ve fast tracked everything post Superman which wasn’t the original plan. We predicted this would happen if Superman flopped. Prior to Superman Gunn promised a slow, methodical pace, not green lighting any project that didn’t have a finished script then all of the sudden post screenings, projects that a week before had no scripts were being announced as finished. At this time you also had Matt Reeves quitting The Batman sequel then all of the sudden after the SM screening he’s back on less than a week later and his sequel is a full go. This shows what we thought, that WB kept that side alive despite Gunn’s wishes in case Gunn flopped and now it’s a race to try and strike gold asap on one of these new projects for Gunn after his first two efforts have failed.

What have they fast tracked? The only thing I'm aware of is greenlighting the Superman sequel.
