Lighten up, Francis. It's Batwoman....woman. It will never be any of those things.

In the comics, Batman's villains know that, although he will beat the shite out of them, he won't kill them.

With Batwoman, they're not so sure.

Gee it's almost like she's mentally unbalanced. Who would have ever guessed.

Is this the female that wants to be a male, but plays a woman?

She's "gender fluid" more commonly known as retarded.

My 14 year old loves The Flash and the other CW superhero shows. Watched a few Flash eps and it seems pretty good. I asked him if he tried Batwoman and he didn't really care for it. Said it was the worst one of the bunch.

As others have pointed out she wasn't a particularly good fit for the role in the first place. I have watched a few episodes and she just doesn't have it. By this point I'm fairly sure she knows that as well. When you add that to the neck injury she picked up exiting now seems like the best thing for both her and the show.

Recast the role and bring in some of the rest of the Batfamily so the lead doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting.

Oh boy I can’t wait for Berlanti and his army of yes men to blame her leaving on toxic masculinity and conservatives.

I don’t even make political posts, because I just don’t care. But Berlanti gets all up in his feelings when people don’t agree with his stances and ideologies

Like who? Helena Bertinelli is in prison in Arrow continuity, Dinah (Laurel) Lance is already established, and Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd are basically off limits. Cassandra Cain? Damien (even though only Talia has been established and she's been extremely minor in the Arrowverse)?

She was boring.

Benoist and Gustin fill the screen with personality, Amell growls and chews the scenery.

Rose was just boring.

Why not Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown? Throw in Bette Kane as her cousin. They are all good characters and DC isn't screwing them up... err... using them on other shows. Add in Cassandra Cain and you've got a supporting cast that can carry a lot of the load.

This has already started on Twitter and YouTube.

The guy who plays her assistant Luke Fox tweeted something like " We are sad to see Ruby go, but the most important thing is that we got a second season and he was anxious to work with whoever they recast."

Luke Fox in the comics is basically Black Batman (Batwing). They grossly diminish that character.

I'm not going to debate your opinion on Ruby Rose's acting because, honestly, this is really the only thing I've seen her in (so my opinion of her ability is not high). That said, I do agree with you that she absolutely does not pull of the character.

There are a lot of actresses I think could pull of the personality of the character, though how many would be willing to take on a full time role on a CW show, I couldn't tell you. Probably not many.

Saw this though, and it gives me hope.

quote:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stephanie Beatriz has already hinted that she would be up for the part

Beatriz could absolutely do the role, and 1000x better IMHO.

The same article gave this as a possible reason for her leaving:

quote:

According to them: "Doing a network drama is one of the hardest acting jobs, and not everyone is well equipped to handle the intensity and long hours involved. I hear Rose, whose most extensive previous TV gig was a nine-episode arc on Orange Is the New Black, was not happy, and the show’s team was not happy to a point where no one could see this going for another season. It was not a good fit, and the studio and the star opted to part ways."

Well good luck to her. This could have been her iconic role that she would always be remembered for. Unfortunately for her, I don’t think there is much work to be had for a tatted-up non-binary lesbian who can barely act.

You kidding? That's an entire sub-genre on Netflix.
