Rose Mcgowan's ex-manager commits suicide, family blames #MeToo

Veteran studio executive and producer Jill Messick, the ex-manager of Rose McGowan who found herself caught in the fight between McGowan and Harvey Weinstein, has committed suicide. She was 50.
Messick's family said in a statement she was "broken" by seeing her name in the news surrounding McGowan's accusation that Weinstein raped her. Last month, Weinstein's team included a quote from her from last year that supported Weinstein's argument that his involvement with McGowan was consensual.
"Seeing her name in headlines again and again, as part of one person's attempt to gain more attention for her personal cause, along with Harvey's desperate attempt to vindicate himself, was devastating for her," the statement continued. "It broke Jill, who was just starting to get her life back on track. What makes Rose's inaccurate accusations and insinuations against Jill ironic was that she was the first person who stood up on Rose's behalf, and alerted her bosses to the horrific experience which Rose suffered."
The statement also said she was "victimized by our new culture of unlimited information-sharing and a willingness to accept statement as fact. The speed of disseminating information has carried mistruths about Jill as a person, which she was unable and unwilling to challenge. She became collateral damage in an already horrific story."

well at least those black dresses all those morons wear to the Oscars will actual have some some real meaning...whether they like it or not.....but they still won't care....they're all complicit in this shite show. A woman died today because of the true insanity that is political correctness....doesn't matter through, it's all for the cause, right???

You’re lacking in maturity.

Uhh no, a woman is dead because she committed suicide.

No. I just don't feel sorry for people who do that.
Everyone has bullshite they have to deal with in their life. Oh noooooo!!!! She had to deal with her name being mentioned by media!!!!! Yet she is still wealthier than 90% of the country. Hard to feel sorry for someone who, despite losing, still has more than most.

Right. That's where you lack in maturity.

All you know she has more of than most is money. You also lack in depth as a person.

Any other words you would like to supply in support of a serial rapist?

Does anyone know how to put a "hit" out on someone? Rose is a new cancer.

Sounds like a guilty conscience and personal ruin. McGowan might be nuts (she is) but I absolutely believe she was pressured for sex to outright raped and when she said anything she was ruined.
This agent was one of many who knew about him. Other agents have to be sweating.

That sucks, and it has to be brutal for the family, but ‘they were mean to me’ is not a valid excuse for a 50 year old adult to take their own life. The entire blame for this lies with Messick alone

The #metoo has gone too far in Hollywood, and rose mcgowan is a crazy arse bitch, yes.
That being said, the real reason this woman took her life probably had more to do with her depression than anything else. People with depression just arent in their right mind.

You know that suicide tends to be only something people from rich countries partake in. Go to Africa, and suicide is almost unheard of.

That's actually a very powerful and moving statement about our society today that I'm sure will go absolutely unnoticed by most.

Could be that she was going to refute all of Rose's claims and expose metoo as a sham power play for chicks in Hollywood and beyond.
So they offed her in accordance with the teachings they learned from their master string puller, Hillary.

Id be careful if I were you, #metoo resonates with this forum. They have a willingness to accept statements as fact.

If metoo is to be believed, there is more rape in modern America than in any other place or time in human history.
