Olivia Hussey recently came out and spoke against the movie FWIW for putting under age children in bad situations

I feel like every single person in America saw this when they were in 8th grade, at least if they were in the late 70s early 80s...

Absolutely. And the teachers had specific instructions about where and when to “fast-forward” the video tape.

What I noticed as I watched it in later years (besides Hussey’s boobs), was that it was filmed in places in Italy that existed when Shakespeare wrote the freaking play.

*I’ve been to Verona, Italy and have seen “Juliet’s Balcony” (yes, I know it’s not the actual one) and rubbed Juliet statue’s tit.

It's the definitive version, and the only one I'm aware of that cast actors who were actually age-appropriate. Leonard Whiting was 16 and Olivia Hussey was 15 at the time of filming.

We had a field trip to the movie theater. I saw boobs on a school field trip in 7th grade.

I saw it in both 8th and 9th grades....

8th grade teacher just told everyone to grow up.

9th grade teacher held a poster board over the projector... only problem is... it simply showed the movie on the poster board.
