I think he meant in Ep 2 where they show the design of it.

No it's seen in Episode 3 at the end. The galaxy is a big place. My guess is it was developed out in the fridges of the galaxy under heavy Imperial guard.

The twist is obviously going to be Jyn finds her dad who tells her he built it against his will but created an Achilles heal so it can be destroyed.

You're right, totally forgot about that.

I'm still concerned about all the issues they've been having, but the more I watch this trailer, the more excited I get. It's a very entertaining trailer.

How great is the music in that trailer? The first time I watched it, the music was the thing that stuck with me the longest.

I will be curious to see if it's used in the film.

It wouldn't be that hard to construct it without to much notice.

Almost all the Jedi have been killed, the senate is basically puppets of palpatine, the rebels are just forming and don't really have the fire power or manpower of the galactic empire, Vader is basically going on a killing spree, and anyone that had previous knowledge about a "Death Star" was killed in episode III when anakins took his final step to becoming Vader.

Quite a few did. They were blown to hell immediately after

How the hell did the Death Star go undiscovered for 18 years? It is seen in Episode III. Are you telling me no ship ever flew by it?

It's a big galaxy and there are many systems that aren't on charts. Seems it could be easy to hide. Plus it was only just starting to be built in the third movie.

I haven't seen ANH in a while, but one of the characters in the trailer for Rouge 1 says "the force is strong." I don't recall there being any mention of the force before Luke starts with Obi Wan.

Assuming Rouge 1 and ANH are similar in timeframe, I wouldn't have expected anyone to use the force as a rally cry, as it were. Am I off based?

You didn't think the Force began with Luke and Ben, did you?

I'm assuming that there will be some force sensitive people in rogue 1 but not full fledged Jeri's so to speak. I'm sure Vader is still hunting them down in the beginning of rogue 1.

Much of the film takes place on Jedha, a spiritual moon for Force believers. It's where a Jedi finds Kyber crystals for their lightsabers. Did you not see the fallen Jedi monument in the trailer?

Heard someone say that the best possible ending would be a space battle where Rouge One sacrifices itself so that Leia's ship can make a break for it.

I like this. This trailer has me so excited. My expectations weren't super high, but after the two trailers Im jacked. Glad this is the last one they're releasing. Disney has done a fantastic job so far in marketing star wars. Not giving too much away.

Also Ive liked the music for the two trailers as well. Assuming Williams isn't scoring this, I wonder who is doing it?

Before they go into the final battle at Yavin, when going through the specs of the Death Star, I believe the leader says may the force be with you.
