It's not really explicit in the movies but the EU makes it pretty clear that the Empire leadership is racist and bigoted as frick. Even if that technically doesn't count anymore it wouldn't be going against what has been accepted as canon in the past.

Yea, but nobody said leadership, they said the Empire. Most of the empire were the troops, so naturally they'd be whatever race Jango was. Italian? Some sort of Spanish? Who knows.

Strong character in the films or not, she is still the leader of the Rebellion in SW canon.

The clones are little more than cannon fodder and are pretty much all gone by the time New Hope happens. I doubt they are even viewed by Empire leadership as fully human w/the way they were programmed from birth.
