How the frick do let a Batman go without a Batman film, in Gotham (or not), with the deepest rogues gallery in comics?

Could’ve been great....but wasted by Zack.

I’m sure Affleck is done superheroing, but Marvel Studios should go get him, cast as literally any big character or even a CGI voiceover work and let him shed these demons.

Let me tell you something. If you haven't seen Robert Pattinson in Good Time, do yourself a favor. This guy is legit. He's top notch potential. Twilight will soon be in this guy's rear view.

Nothing in Pattinson’s career has been anything close to this role. The closest thing Pattinson has played to Batman is a closet homosexual sparkling vampire

I felt bad for the mentally challenged brother. But yeah, the movie was insane. I wouldn’t call it a great movie or anything, but Pattinson was money in it.

With that being said, I’d be surprised if Pattinson ends up playing Batman. I could see the studio folding to backlash and going with Hoult

You're right. Producers saw the potential; not randos on the internet. Equilibrium was a shite gun-kata movie that absolutely nobody saw until it blew up on DVD because a now-famous-from-Batman Bale was in it. People were complaining about his casting. They were complaining because they are the internet and they didn't know much about him.

Just like they (you) know very little about Pattinson. I'll even say you're probably right again that he hasn't beefed up for a role like Bale did for Batman. Dwight Howard had never built up his muscle mass before he got drafted to the Magic. They were pretty sure he could. Pattinson has a large frame, will be working with trainers who routinely bulk up actors, and is intensely violent in several roles.

So you can be a revisionist historian, who constantly reveals he doesn't watch anything good, and be upset about the casting of a silly character (this goes for many), or you could go watch a real movie for a change and try to see what the producers did. It might be time to let your crush on that sparkly vampire go.

Speak for yourself, I was a huge Equilibrium fanboy when it came out. When Bale was announced, I and many of my friends who loved Equilibrium were like “hell yea”

But since you brought it up, how many movies has Pattinson been in where he beefed up like that, fought crime, and showed great ability in choreographed fighting and violence?
