R.I.P. Two and a Half Men

"No Charlie Sheen, no "Two and a Half Men." Sheen, who is battling marital, legal and substance abuse problems, has not committed to coming back to the show. While there has been speculation the sitcom's producers at Warner Brothers would reconfigure the series without him, a well-placed WB source says that's unlikely.
Sheen is the highest paid actor on TV and after seven years playing the womanizing, hard-partying Charlie Harper on the CBS show, he is ready to move on. The show's schedule has meant he can't take movie offers, something he is said to be interested in. Sheen is currently undergoing treatment for substance abuse and is fighting domestic abuse charges. CBS is scheduled to announce its fall season line-up on May 17. "
He has too many problems to make it back to the show, imo.

I agree with shutting down the show, like him or not he makes the show.

Just get Kiefer Sutherland to replace him

I applaud Keifer for admitting what he did and serving his time without contest. No comparison, imo.

CBS will probably just offer him some insane price to come back.
I don't care one way or the other. I lost interest in the show once they gave Charlie a main squeeze.
The parade of hot chicks is what made the show bearable.

I agree on all counts.
The show is over, Sheen will not survive his legal problems in time, and the main squeeze killed it.

The show was never funny. Same joke every week.
The kid has grown up to be less than appealing.
Charlie Sheen is one of the biggest douches in Hollywood whose career was going nowhere prior to this cash cow landing in his unappreciative lap.
Who cares if another episode is never produced?

It's time to end the show on story integrity reasons alone. It's getting more than a little old and tired now.

And they've made Allen a fig.

The kid had gotten too old and was starting to get annoying.
Charlie was still pretty funny IMO

I agree with everything in the thread, I just wish the show could have a fitting final episode.

Final scene: Charlie smothers Alan with a pillow after yet another bitchy conversation in which Alan shows how much of a cheapskate he is. Alan's body goes limp. Fade to black.

Charlie drinks himself to death. Alan inherits the house and Charlies money and lives happily ever after with Molly Ringwald.
