The frick? He owned that role, and I'm not someone who loves or clowns on characters... Any "suckfest" he gets is warranted

Catwomen did well. Bane did well. Ledger doing well is an embarrassment to say.

I loved Heath as the Joker and his acting was far superior to Liam Neeson as Ra's.

Having said that I cant choose either because I love both for different reasons. Neeson is one of my fave actors and he gave a solid preformance and is my favorite villain of the franchise.

I liked Bale in this above TDK too

The Rachel character in the first two movies was a husk. Hathaway had so much more to work with in DKR (and knocked it out of the park).

Ledger elevated the franchise (and superhero movies in general) with his performance. Begins is a prelude to Ledger, DKR is the epilogue.

I've never heard a legit argument of Batman Begins over The Dark Knight, despite it being kind of trendy to say.

Because BB is just a good movie and The Dark Knight was an almost perfect movie and lived up to the hype. I mean how can't you say that the movie with the scarecrow was better than the one with the joker

in all of these threads, you can't seem to grasp how the movies are more than just the villians. you just keep saying "Joker>>>>Bane!" or "Joker>>>Scarecrow!!!!"

Most of us are looking at the movies as a whole, not just the villians. I think most would agree that the Joker was the best villian, but TDK was the worst of the trilogy, as a whole.

but you seem entirely too dumb to understand this

Regardless of anyone's opinion. TDK is going down as the highlight of the trilogy and redefining what a superhero movie can be.

If we're talking about redefining, as in an historical sense, then the entire trilogy should be counted as a whole IMO

I agree with this. Whether or not you love or hate these films, I think most everyone has to admit that this trilogy of films got people taking the genre seriously and made people realize that quality films with complex, real-world themes could be made out of them.

I think what you find is that these aren't standalone films. The first one leads you into the second with the revelation of the Joker,

I found this out. I never saw Begins until this weekend. TDK makes more sense now.

Yeah it is man. If you're attention span is so weak that anything less than Scarlett Johannsen "takes you out of the movie," you should probably just stick with movies produced by Vivid.

Let the record show I'm not sticking up for her looks, but them being a distraction is pretty dumb. It's not like she has an eyeball sticking out of her cheek.

The recent Spiderman trilogy made people realize that these movie could be profitable again.

You have to realize that the original Superman trilogy was a great trilogy except that #3 kind of slipped off.

I know a lot of you folks are young, but comic book movies have been around for a while and some of them have been VERY lucrative. It's just now that the special effects have caught up to what the comic artist have been able to draw.

Hell, even the first Batman movies were damn good until they became caricatures of themselves.

I'm going to have to jump on board team TDK. BB was a good movie no doubt and Katie Holmes was better in her role, but it was just a movie that explained the origins of Batman. TDK dealt with some themes that made us all question our inner "hero". Who do you save? Your girlfriend or the man that can do good for Gotham. Which ferry deserved to blowup? The one with the criminals that were serving their time or the one with the normal people that just may have never gotten caught breaking the law?

There was inner turmoil in TDK. BB just had Batman becoming Batman. We've all seen origin movies costless times.

I know people loved the first two, but for me

Maybe it's a generational thing

Agree that The TDK is better for the above reasons., but before begins we had never gotten a batman origin despite it being the most famous.

Like Empire and the Two Towers, the Dark Knight will be seen as the best by casual fans. Why? Because it is the middle of an established beforehand trilogy therefore it is the meat of the story.

Ledger's superior performance and the fact that the Joker is the iconic Batman villain that normal fans don't get Ra's or Bane. Liam Neeson did a great job with Ra's because Ra's Al Ghul is never an over the top bad guy. Ra's is an extreme good guy.

Maybe that's true but I'm kind of a batman dork and TDK might be my favorite.

Honestly I just like the whole fricking thing. It doesn't matter which one is best

I liked BB more than TDK. I enjoyed TDK but I found myself towards the end wanting it to be over. I can't say the same for BB.
