What are the boards thoughts on V for Vendetta? I watched it the other night realizing how close to Nov 5th it was. Probably one of my favorite movies, for its writing in particular.

quote:

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me...V.

A bunch of college aged "M'Lady" types are jizzing all over themselves. Not knowing what it actually means

I loved the movie and it was well written and acted.

Too bad the message is lost on millennials for the most part.

Oh hell yeah, it's on Neflix currently. Looks like I know what I'm watching tonight.

not too get too political here but people perceive the movie how they want to on that scale

I went back and found a thread from 2010-2012ish and it was saying that this is what all the obama voters should fear and things like that. Opposite could probably be argued now

I think its a great satire of both sides of the isle and how rhetoric and censorship turns into control

well yea, both the crazy left and the crazy right fear the other side is gonna take away their rights. But it is pretty obvious which said has done things to actually do that.

Both. 98 senators took a dump on your 4th Amendment rights when they passed the Patriot Act.
