Britbox (can get a subscription on Prime) recently put out an original series set in Ireland called "Redemption". I thought it was really good.

Endeavour
Shetland, it's Scottish, so turn on subtitles
Broadchurch
The Night Manager
Line of Duty

All good. Luther is really good as well. Haven’t heard it there is going to be a season 6 of Luther, but he has himself in a mess.

Happy Valley and the Fall were good. Fall was one of the first UK cop shows I watched and had to get used to slower pace.

DCI Banks.

Tunnel like Marcella the 1st season was good and then started going down, but first season for Tunnel might have been better than Danish-Swede version. I guess maybe Broadchurch went down after Season 1 but still good.

Scott & Bailey and No offence kind of grew on me after not thinking I would like them. Same thing with sequel to Life on Mars - Ashes to Ashes which might have been due to being set in the 80s and how Keeley Hawes fit in with original cast that carried over.

Grace and Inspector Lewis were good.

I should know more as it’s a running joke with my kid how many British cop shows I watch. I show my diversity by throwing in an Australian, Irish, Swedish, or Danish cop show every now & then.

With 22,000 people spread throughout the islands the show makes Shetland out to be the pro-capita murder capital of the world, but accents in Shetland tv show aren’t nearly as hard to understand as on the tv show Crime (based on a book by Trainspotting author). What I watched Crime on sometimes had subtitles that were bunched together with multiple people talking or timing was off. It was ok as a show, but I did get frustrated trying to figure what the heck was being said and by who at times. Didn’t care for Dougray Scott’s crazy/anger outbursts, but he was good besides those.

Line of Duty has some silly moments that are supposed to be dramatic like a reveal that a female character was male in wig looking back that reminded me of Dwight in his wigs in The Office, but the show was good in spite of a few corny moments a season. Not sure if Hastings character could get away with saying no one is blacker him today (catholic from North Ireland).

Yes it was. I also liked the Britbox original that took place in South Africa and had actress who played Devoe’s wife on the flash.
Edit: show is called Reyka and stars Kim Engelbrecht as a cop in South Africa and Iain Glen who kidnapped her when she was a kid and raised for a while before getting caught.

I also liked season 1 of Bloodlands (Northern Ireland) with James Nesbitt and Mystery Road (Australian Outback) with Aaron Pederson, but I think they were on Acorn.

Also on Acorn are Jack Irish and Jack Taylor which seemed have a similar premise except for their former jobs and the former taking place in Australia and the later in Ireland. PIs but end up working with cops.
