Another Wire thread and another vote for Jay Landsman as the greatest small role character in a series.

Ask yourself. Is there a scene involving Landsman that wasn't awesome? The lie detector scene, the jack off description scene, Cole's wake scene (my favorite). The Tweedy Impertinence scene. All greatness.

The Wire is the greatest TV Show off All-time and Omar is the greatest TV Character ever...and this is the best scence featuring Omar!

Agree with the hate for Pearlman, even Levy was a more likable character than her.

Every time I do a rewatch Marlo keeps climbing the list of my favorite characters.

I can’t even imagine how many cool clips you could make from that series. 100? 500?

Pearlman cared about her career more than anyone, in a show with a lot of people caring about their career over doing what’s right. I think the actress sucks too.

All of my favorite characters were the ones who didn’t constantly bullshite. Whether they were a good person or not.

Hard to argue with any of this. I don't have it at the very top of my list but he's an all time great character and that's an all time great scene.

My favorite Omar scene was when he let McNulty and Kima know he knew about Bubs being their CI/snitch. That was the original a man must have a code, he could have easily taken out Bubs but he wasn’t in the game.

Avon on the other hand is just a gangster, as he says.

And he even had moments where you could respect his choice. Like here, he could’ve made Cutty disappear. But he respected that he had the nuts to tell him he wasn’t in the game anymore.

This one always breaks my heart (along with the one I’ll post in the next one). It’s when you know Dee is dead. Just hurts my heart.

The ending sequence music is just so perfect I just let it play instead of skipping.

I noticed Rawls in the gay bar when Brother Malzon was looking for Omar. Rawls character was gay! Like Omar.

There was a scene where Sgt. Landsman (the big fat one) was taking a leak and there was graffiti over the urinal that said something like “Rawls sucks dick” or something similar. He chuckled as if it were common knowledge, but unspoken.
