Just watched the first episode definitely not cheesy like I thought it would be. It’s been good enough to keep my attention. Dudes a bad arse though the prison scene was pretty good.

It's Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State!

I’m excited to see this.

I read the book a couple years ago and listen to the book on tape recently as well. I mistakenly used an audible credit but the book was so good it was worth listening to a second time. Even though I know what will happen I hope this show will be good enough for a watch.

Just finished 2nd episode. i’m digging it so far. it’s refreshing to see Thad emerge as a competent action hero. I keep expecting to pull out some coke or a pocket pu$$y and start screaming like a little girl.

2 episodes in. He’s not exact but a hell of a lot closer to the mark than Cruise. One thing that’s bugging me is the Sherlock Holmes bits like telling Finley he’s a Harvard man divorced and recently stopped smoking. He doesn’t do that in the books and it’s out of character for Reacher. That said he does a decent job on the investigative ability piece. Like I said this guy is way better than Cruise but still not dark enough. I like it so far and will stick it out to see where it goes.

Ive read parts of a couple books but I never actually finished one, so I dont have much to go by. shite, I loved that first episode. One of the most enjoyable first episodes of any show Ive ever seen. 100% hooked. Going to try to not binge it all too soon.

Ehh. He was pretty intuitive on stuff. Maybe not to that degree. I’m enjoying it. Way better adaptation than WoT from Amazon.

Got excited and yelled out Guillermo when they showed the coroner.

Haven’t read the books, but I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Badass with just enough whodonit. Nothing seriously complicated. And Roscoe is hot.

Loved episode two as well. Thats all Im going to watch tonight.

One thing bothered me though. They referred to the state police as staties. That term in not used in the state of Georgia. They are called the state patrol or GSP. Staties is a northern term. This mistake was made in The Outsiders last year.

Enjoying it (to Episode 6).

I've read a bunch of Reacher books. Ritchson could be a little bit older, but he pretty much nails what I would picture.

Force of nature

He’s pretty nails. Big, brooding, quirpy but not overly funny. Doesn’t try to be too witty.

Decent enough looking to pull the ladies but not a pretty boy.

That looks very network tv-ish.

Very.

Worse than a John Cena movie.

After 20 minutes of the protagonist looking tough and not saying a word and the flimsy surrounding characters and cheap production... Can anyone explain why its not prudent to bail on the 1st episode?

Binged the entire season and thought it was great. Old fashioned good guys vs bad guys. No modern Hollywood garbage, just good fun in a tv show.

He is quiet for the first part bit but he gets pretty quipy later on.

I’d give it to episode 3 to bail. If you don’t like it by then, it’s not for you.

I’ve only read one Reacher book (Dropshot, I think) and it was years ago so I kinda interchange him with Horvath/Rapp. But the “You’re a Yankee and/or black guy” with the chief detective is heavy handed. We get it, it’s in the south.

It's a little nostalgic in some ways. It's the sorta show your Dad might watch.

It was a decent way to kill a rainy friday night. Cheesy, predictable, cliche, but I kept watching
