When the priest said "You've never told them have you Ray", then Ray immediately shot him in the face before he could say anything else is when I knew.
But of course he had to spell it out in the next scene with his wife. Kind of took away from the greatness of the previous 50 mins.
Nonetheless, I really like this show. I just wish it didn't come on directly after Breaking Bad because I usually spend the first 5 mins of Ray Donovan recovering from BB.

Last night was great. The wife finally shut her mouth and let Ray handle his business.
And then she left after he told her he was diddled as a kid. She is a worse wife and mother than Lori. Just a horrible person.

Best episode yet, and I love the show so far. I think there is a ton of potential.
Voight should win an emmy for Mickey.
Schrieber in Sunday's episode alone was pretty awesome. He took it to another level when he told the priest he better not f!@#ing lie again.

To the guys that said the show needs to be more about Ray "cleaning up messes"...you're ruh-tards
The show is about Mickey and Ray....and the mess that is their past.

spot on, it's the only way the show will last several seasons. It will be a roller coaster ride between these two

She was gone stay with the kids at the hotel for safety, not cause Ray was diddled. She left, and showed that it was tough for her to leave, only after Ray said don't touch me get out of here. She knew that the only thing she could do to help Ray in that situation was to respect his wishes. He is not the kind of man that is unsure of what he wants. He wants her to go, she needs to go.

I suppose I should pay more attention and not try to watch while reading Breaking Bad reviews.

This week's episode was a marked improvement from the previous week. Ray is not a good man but at least we were allowed a peek at the demons he carries.

Anyone watched the finale?
Will be interesting to see where they go with this show next season. Anyone know if it was picked up for another season.
Good to see more reasons why Ray hates Mickey also.

What about the nurse loose end in the priest murder? Especially with notices around town showing him as a missing person.
Also, there was no resolution on how the FBI guy was gonna deal with the other FBI guy getting killed. Is Ray trying to pin it on Sully? It never got discussed any further. We know Mickey left evidence there.

Ray Yawnovan.
Show started out so good, then after 4-5 episodes, just real inconsistent.
The Ray from the beginning wouldn't have been stupid enough to meet up with Sully without a backup plan. The guy fricked you over once, is crazy and you're going to let him just walk right up? GTFO. It was cool how fast he moved on the plan after the shootout, but still.
Would have made sense for the FBI guy to shoot Mickey bc it helps him if Ray gets killed, right? Thought they might go that way for a sec.
Don't know what happened. At the beginning it was thrilling watching Ray come up with the master plans and fix everything. Gradually it was more Ray getting F'd over by everyone and on the defensive constantly, just reacting. The whole priest thing was torture to follow.
Pretty tame finale IMO. Never seen a show start off so good and get so blah so fast.

I disagree with damn near everything on this post. I haven't been bored with an episode all season.
I thought the FBI guy would pretty much frick Ray over and shoot Sully regardless if Tiny shot Ray or not, Ray already having Tiny in his pocket not getting shot as the plan.
It wasn't about Ray getting fricked over and on the defensive as much as it was him having to dig himself out of hole while people around him are throwing in dirt while not listening to him.
I am stunned that Mickey still has anywhere to go. Ray has said over and over again to not trust him yet every one still is charmed by him even though he is a dirtbag liar.

This show has been up and down all season. The final three episodes were two disasters with one solid episode in between.
Ray shooting the FBI agent was ridiculous. You don't just fire a bullet into someone's body knowing all will be well. Bullets hit bones, fragment and find their way to organs in other parts of the body. People who get shot don't stand around having conversations. Its a traumatic experience and it never occurs in the manner Hollywood portrays shootings. Stupid writing.
The last scene where Ray's retarded family show up one by one and demonstrate little to no concern about whether he's hurt or not despite the blood soaked shirt was beyond the pale. The daughter sits down and starts reading a book? Mom curls up next to him? Anyone buying this crap?
Ray's co worker admitted to an hospital with a gun shot wound and Ray running around covered in blood and no one is suspicious? No cops asking questions?

I thought the same thing.

Ray told the Frank (FBI) to say that he had hired Ray's firm to find Sully. That explains 'why' Ray and Avi were at the scene. The cops knew Avi was shot by Sully and that Ray was present.
