Just finished binging it all.
I guess I’m greatly in the minority in that I thought it was great. Yeah, the tranny Loki was irritating af, but this took allegory, symbolism, and archetypes to another level. It works as an internalized psychological struggle and archetypal demon slaying. Very Jungian show.

Dude looks like a David Bowie and Megan Rapinoe love child.
I'm halfway through the season. Liking so far. I'll reserve final judgement for when I finish.

Yeah, I’m ready for the spoiler discussions

I think there was a Ziggy Stardust poster on the slanted wall/ceiling in Laurit’s room, lol.

Just finished. Enjoyed it, but wasn’t what I was expecting. Seemed to have an after school special feel to it, albeit a bit more adult in some areas.
Curious to know what those in Norway thought of the series. Hadn’t heard much about it outside of here.

Was able to binge watch it today. I liked it, just like the other seasons, but really dug the music. Not often do you hear M83 in a TV series.

Guessing there’s no need for a second thread at this point. Or is there?
I will just say that the unreliable narrator aspect of the show leaves me with a lot of questions. Kind of like Joker, where we still don’t know what is or isn’t real.
At least that’s how I see it.

Just finished up season 3, and thought it was great. Was it real or was it in his head?

That’s the slant I’m getting.
But there are holes (unanswered questions ) with it being fully imagined.
Very Dallas ‘it was all just a dream’ vibes .
*Random idea... what if the events DID happen, but the spirits of the gods left the people and everyone just returned to being normal humans? IDK, weren't there photos of the Giants from like 100 yrs ago? Those would still be around, right? And of course, the monster swimming about in the oceans now... wouldn't it just keep growing?

They ended it with it being all in his head, but imo I'd have gone this route at the end of Season 1 and done the "nah, you're really Thor" route the last 2 seasons

i watched all 3 seasons. its worth a binge if you have absolutely nothing else to watch. saw the ending coming a mile away, seeing as much of what was going on made little sense.

I wonder if they even thought they’d get a 3rd season. This seemed kinda mailed in. Maybe not though.

If it was all in his head then what happened to Vidar?

No idea. There are lots of equally perplexing questions. Like is there a world where high school kids are running a multimillion dollar corporation just because of their last name? No real world work experience, no formal education, but just because it’s the family business… Maybe that’s the way it works in Europe?

I went back and forth between real or in his head until the end.
He wasn't wearing glasses in the final scene and without Thor Powers, he's basically blind.
Ragnarok Battle at the end the took place in the High School Graduation was in his head. And that satisfied the reference from his girlfriend.
Just how I interpreted the last episode.

bump because I just finished last night.
I think it wasn't in his head until the show runners had to end it. The unveiling of the viking house now being a normal house on a hill was too forced. What was the point of introducing the kid in the wheelchair for a few minutes at the end of the 2nd to last episode? He wasn't needed UNLESS he was a place holder for a season 4 plot line. It seemed he was going to assassinate gay burger dude to end the season, which would have flipped Laurits back to the dark side or whatever.
No clue if it was supposed to be 3 seasons or not. IF its in his head, there are so many plot holes. I dont have time to list, but obviously the dad in perfect health isn't dying of a heart attack.
It felt like they were told midway through writing season 3 that there wouldn't be a season 4, so they hit the easy button.
Show was a 6.5/10. They did an awful job representing hot Scandinavian women other than Saxa and her mom.
