I love this movie, seen it many times, but one thing I do not understand is when she was on the airplane. Was she hallucinating or was she really turning to dust and the large dose she takes in the bathroom saved her?

She was starting to become more than human.. evolving.
She kept it in check with the pills for a bit until she got a better hold of what was happening

I only saw it once and thought it was terrible. The main thing I remember is that she could feel people around her, but drove right by someone following her and had no idea he was there. Pretty dumb imo.

It was on when I came in, just as the plane scene was on, sparking my question. .

I was under the assumption that the alcohol she drank was somehow messing up the way her body was evolving. Like a grain of sand in a pocket watch or something. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention lol.

The main thing I remember is pills made her smart which turned her into a god who isn't bound by physics. I don't know why using the full brain can make someone fly.

Before that sequence I think they explained or inferred that the body would disintegrate if it no longer had some higher purpose. Not sure how taking more drugs would prevent or delay that, but finding her purpose in life became the main plot point there after.

my question.

Would anyone who OD on this drug get powers like her?

Seems like it has some crazy side effects.
