Which catalogue do you choose?

Tarantino:

Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown
Kill Bill
Death Proof
Inglorious Bastards
Django Unchained
Hateful 8
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Coen Brothers:

Raising Arizona
Miller’s Crossing
Bartin Fink
Fargo
The Big Lebowski
O Brother Where Art Thou
No Country For Old Men
Burn After Reading
True Grit
Hail Caesar
Buster Scruggs

I think I’d get more use out of Tarantino.

Tough to give up NCFOM , burn after reading, and hail Caesar

And not close actually, event though they have been a bit off lately.

Much more varied films.

Pure higher peaks in Fargo, Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, O Brother, NCFOM

I like Tarantino's list better as a whole, but the one movie on both lists that I can't do without is Raising Arizona. I have to go Coen brothers for that one flick you warthog from hell.

Can't tell if you're upset I forgot Lebowski, which is legitimate, or if that's a crazy opinion because QT.

I can’t make a decision.

Really for me it comes down to do I never want to see again

Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Bastards or Lebowski and Fargo.

Maybe I’ll watch all 4 this week and then make my decision.

I know you’ll be waiting anxiously for the results.

For me, it's The Coen Brothers. And you forgot A Serious Man (one of my favorite of theirs) and Inside Llewyn Davis.

They've both been off lately in their last two.

But give me the Coens.

Was just thinking about this! Similar aesthetic but all their own style. Same headspace.

Coen but just barely.

I would EASILY lose Tarantino, as he is a hack and the Coens are geniuses.

Coens have more rewatches for me. And I can watch them with more people than I could Dr. Hard R McFootfetish.

I’ve seen almost all of Tarantino’s stuff while I’ve got some gaps with the Coens. I’ve seen Big Lebowski, Fargo, O Brother, Burn After Reading, No Country for Old Men, and True Grit but not Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, Hudsucker Proxy, or Blood Simple.

It’s probably not fair to make a decision until I’ve seen those but Tarantino sets a very high bar.

Overall , I’d certainly take all the Tarantino movies.....

but alas , Big Lebowski is a top 3 all-time favorite movie of mine.

So your question gives me pause..... which is the mark of a good question

With the Coens I'm getting more movies, with a just as good a batting average, if not better. I also enjoy the Coen bros being "off" more than QT.
