Bernthal's done a really good job, but you're not wrong in the casting choice.
Like Hugh Jackman isn't a 'perfect' Wolverine, but he's captured the audience.

Not saying he's been terrible, but he's been the Punisher for like a decade now. In this next chapter of Marvel, I would have liked to see someone new going forward, that's all. I knew it wouldn't be for everyone because Bernthal is THE Punisher to a lot of people.

I keep hoping they learn lessons, but you're probably not completely off. I wouldn't hate it if they went with an unknown, but a couple I think could do it well would be someone like Taylor Kitsch, or longshot, someone like Cavill.

Sometimes I might have to wait 3 days or so, but I can rest easy knowing this particular erotic fantasy of a hunky, absolute shite actor will present itself, regardless of topic relevance, on the M/TV.

Disagree about Cavill being a shite actor, but not sure the Punisher requires high level acting anyway.

Werewolf By Night is one of the high points of phase 4.
Granted, that isn’t saying much considering the likes of Eternals, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Ms Marvel, etc.
