Yeah True Lies is awesome also. Wish they had made a better Conan sequel. He could have made a great trilogy of Conan movies had they stuck with the correct formula

It's really good. Cheesy, but not too cheesy. Over-the-top, but not too over-the-top. It has just that right balance of comedy, suspense, action - you could spend your time on far worse action movies.

But it could have used some T&A.
I mean, the movie is rated R but it's a sausage fest out there in the jungle. It would be PG today. There's no cursing, it's just shooting.
Could have made it a time-capsule 80's movie by adding a few captive boob shots of maybe Erika Eliniak like in Under Seige or that hot chick from Hot Shots.
That would have made it the ultimate 80's movie and mixed things up a little bit. Maybe Predator takes one of the chicks ala King Kong and Arnold has to rescue her and she's all nubile like Jessica Lang floating in a river or like Adrienne Barbeau in Swamp Thing.

What puts Total Recall over the top is that he had prime Sharon Stone staring in the movie with him.

It is a brilliant film. Action can hardly ever combine drama and suspense in the effective way Predator does.
My favorite thing is how the predators keep skulls for trophies. That goes back to ancient Greece, Egypt and and Babylon. And with it being an alien, it's especially chilling.

Used to have it on VHS taped off of HBO. The tape had Predator and the first half of Action Jackson on it.

Certain movies bring me back to simpler times of late nights and lazy Saturdays watching TNT and TBS. Predator, Top Gun, Bloodsport, Rocky, Temple of Doom.
Movies today can be great, they just aren't the same though.

I had Predator, Superman IV, and Police Academy IV: Citizens on Patrol on the same tape. That was basically one whole summer for me, those three movies and episodes of Bob Ross.
