In a murder mystery, someone will figure out the killer. They will then call their friend / partner or whoever , leave a voicemail and say meet me at the library I know who did it. Of course they will be killed before the person arrives and they never gave the killers name.

If your not gonna call the police, but call your friend, atleast say I figured out John miller is the killer. This is the evidence. Now meet me at the library.

In a movie when someone is attacked, they will end up with a weapon in their hand. They will hit the attacker. Then immediately drop the weapon bedside the attacker and start running away like an idiot.

Hello, you have a gun, stick, or baseball bat, etc. Why are you dropping it next to the attacker who is dazed or whatever and running away screaming for your life.

Another one...when a cop sees the person they are looking for, and yell at him from 30 yards away, instead of getting closer. Then of course the long foot chase starts. I know why it's done, but just stupid.

I hate it when a bad guy has the jump on a protagonist and misses their shot but the protagonist turns around and no look drops them with one shot.

Not to be braggadocios on the M/TV board because it carries 0 clout… but I’ve done a few different shooting exercises and grade pretty well and turn around no look shots with a pistol, nonetheless AR is absolute malarkey.

NCIS type shows is where this mainly happens, but:

Oh no, we need to fly to X Country...Lets get on this plane and be there in two hours..When we get there we will call home and it will still be day time in both places even though we're 14 hours ahead now

In any war movie LCpl Bagofdoughnuts has the strategic/operational/tactical acumen of Ghengis Khan, Napoleon and Robert E. Lee combined. Every officer is completely clueless and can't tie his shoes unassisted.

When a character gets caught in compromising circumstances that has a very simple explanation and either A. Says “I can explain” and doesn’t B. The person catching them absolutely refuses to let them explain.

This gets me too. But more along the lines of the character not trying harder to explain.
It also bugs me when characters take pills with no water.

There's John Doe walking on the other side of the street.

Metallic noises when the characters are just moving guns in the air. It's like they are built of loose screws and bolts rattling around in there.

Fights where people can absorb insane amounts of punches or kicks and keep on fighting.

Shoot outs. Bad guys can never shoot worth a shite.
Good guys are phenomenal snipers with pistols or revolvers.
