Just got out of The Last Jedi and during a pretty critical part of the movie, multiple jackasses started clapping and cheering.

People who do this shouldn't be allowed in movie theatres

I punched a dude and slapped his kid after clapping in my theater.

It was so cringey when Han Solo first appeared on screen during The Force Awakens.

Agreed. Like it's a Broadway play or something where people on stage can actually hear and appreciate. These fricking morons are clapping at a movie screen

I don't mind at the end but in the middle of a movie when I'm trying to hear what's being said is incredibly annoying.

Well I certainly hope that you called over the Maître D' and made your complaint known. We can't have peoples' enjoyment interfering with your stoic presence.

Some bitch in TFA almost creamed herself when Rey held out the light saber to Luke when I went to see it. She was fat and ugly.

Star Wars is the only films I have been to that the crowd cheered. It is still incredible just how deeply entrenched Lucas's original films are in people's childhood and how much they love the world and characters he crated...

Even after all the crap he did with the prequels, Lucas was a true, iconic creative genius.... The Dipshits and pussywillows in charge of the IP now are second rate hacks compared to Lucas... And it clearly shows.

Living in DC and having traveled, I find that foreigners do this all the time. Maybe it's an indication of the influx of foreigners into every corner of America.

Or maybe you need to go to a theater that has fewer ivy league scholars in it.

Star Wars fans are the reason I'm staying away from this movie for a few weeks.

We all must have had varying audiences. There were only sparse claps at the end of the movie in my theater.

Clapping at the end is just as lame.

It's not a live musical.

But the worst is when the movie shows some scene on the screen that is a political or culturally divisive issue and and you get a few people who clap overtly loud and woo-hoo just to let you know that they are for it.

Nobody gives a crap what you think and you're not changing anyone's opinion just watch the damn movie.
