Looks like the only free option for Psych is the 7 day trial.

No. It's free. I just double checked.

Do I love Seinfeld enough to pay $14 a month (or whatever it’s price is)?

Seinfeld isn't on the service.

Is anyone out there gonna drop Netflix for this bull, just to keep watching the Office?

I know, that's what I'm saying. After people have spent damn near 15 years watching the Office on Netflix, NBC thinks they will drop Netflix and subscribe to Peacock just to keep watching the Office instead of finding one of 20,000 other shows to put on as background noise. Seems insane to me.

I was pissed when Netflix lost Bob's Burgers. My wife and I watched 1-2 episodes every night right before bed for like 3 years. I never entertained the thought of spending another 9/mo for Hulu just to make sure so could keep watching it.

Agreed, I don’t think they think people will drop Netflix and switch to peacock. I think they thought people would add another service. Which no one will. When the office goes off Netflix, I think it’s pretty much gonna die off all together. The actors have all said the office being on Netflix gave it a complete second wind. It won’t get a third.

Why are you in here throwing a fit over a service that you know nothing about and have no interest in using?

Their movie line up is really bad. They really try to hide behind the Bourne franchise

Every one of these smaller players, who used to be the big players mind you, absolutely had to take their shot. You never know when they'll catch lightning in a bottle and have the next GOT that will propel them to being a must have service. But what is most likely to happen is they will not be as big as they need to be to survive on their own and will realize that Netflix/Disney/Amazon have the built in audiences to monetize their content in ways that they can't on their own.

My wife like most or some doesn’t understand that just because a show was on one network doesn’t mean that network owns it. She asked me today, “Why are Raymond and King of Queens on here when they were on CBS? And it’s weird Friends is on HBO Max when it was never on HBO”

If you have Cox you just have to say Peacock into the remote and it’s there. I’m sure that other cable systems have similar agreements.

Cord cutters don't want to watch ads. No one wants to give up their email address and still be forced to watch ads.

Some of ya'll are either suckers or in on the scams.

Where are cord cutters getting content for free?

Either advertisers pay and you watch for free or you pay no not have advertisements. Thats the whole Peacock business model. Revenue from advertisers vs revenue from customers. Its a risky proposition to bet on people being ok with ads if the service is free.

And like HBOMax ran into, Roku is the one keeping them off the platform. NBC and HBO would love to have their app available on Roku.

What a strong arm tactic. If a person pays for a service from one company, why is another company advertising on that service. For instance, if I hired movers and they show up in a truck covered in ads for Tide pods, I'd be really confused and refuse to use them again.

If customers pay YouTube to not see advertisements and then YouTube actively encourages content creators to put imbed ads (which it does), then the customer should have an actionable complaint (i.e. class action lawsuit).

And yes, I know that right now it would be unrealistic to win this kind of lawsuit, but what if average people dared to dream of a world where they aren't constantly screwed by media and advertisement companies where a jury made up of average people with this common dream get to determine the justness of a law?

Do you dare to dream?
