What a strong arm tactic. If a person pays for a service from one company, why is another company advertising on that service. For instance, if I hired movers and they show up in a truck covered in ads for Tide pods, I'd be really confused and refuse to use them again.

Wut

This happens all the time and there’s nothing wrong with it

I dont think you understand the Peacocks model.

You dont pay for Peacock, you watch ads. You pay for Peacock you don't watch ads.

Jack Donaghy, is that you? Signed up for TigerDroppings to just extoll the virtues of Peacock?

I'm looking forward to watching Brave New World....season 1 should be on my Plex server when I get home from work.

I downloaded the app on my Apple TV last night

The Live TV app is very similar to Pluto (a Viacom creation). I wish they would just merge the two so that I can have them all on one device

The on demand content isn’t worth it, IMO. I do like the 24/7 Office channel, though. It has commercials, obviously. But it will be nice to have something when The Office leaves Netflix. My wife and I literally watch The Office every night as we are falling asleep.

Cord cutters don't want to watch ads.
And yet they do. Even if your life is spent on Netflix and Amazon, I'm doubting seriously that you're passing on all sports and other commercial supported programming.

No one wants to give up their email address and still be forced to watch ads.

People give up their email address AND pay $5.99 to be forced to watch ads. It's Hulu's business model.

Yes, there is. If a company wants to pay for advertising, that's fine. If a company conspires with an advertiser to have the customer pay to see, or not to see, advertisement then the customer is getting fleeced.

You think there is nothing wrong with it. Some of us remember when our lives weren't inundated with integrated advertising and pop ups.

I haven’t seen a show yet that would make me want to move to their premium tier. I can handle a few minuets of ads to watch stuff for free.

My fear is they will hook me than remove their free tier sometime down the road.

Literally any sports

This dude wants a class action over Movie trailers/posters, cars with their company logo on them, and Heinz ketchup packages that you get with your Caniac

Isn't it free for Xfinity subscribers?

Turned it on once when the sneak preview for X1 customers began, about 3 months ago. Wasn't impressed.

Gonna have to admit that they've added some new stuff:

Brave New World & The Capture look interesting. Will have to check them both out.
