Is there any must see TV on Paramount+, especially new content?

We got a few months free from Amazon so might as well check it out, the movie catalog looks to have some solid movies but I haven't heard much about their originals.

Personally, I think it's the worst of the streaming services. There is not a lot there.

I tend to agree. I did a free trial a little while back and it really didn't appeal to me at all. Just not much quality content

I wouldn't say there isn't a lot there. The pretty sure the entire CBS catalog is available, so you may want to watch some classics. Of the new original series there's the Star Trek stuff--Discovery and Picard. The early seasons of The Good Fight (a continuation of the Good Wife without Julianna Margulies) is pretty good, but may give some sensitive types the vapors given the politics.

Love Island is a biggie, especially if you're a fan of the broadcast network part, since there are a few uncensored episodes that aired each week.

I want to see Why Women Kill. It looks intriguing, and I dig all the principal actresses.

If you like the MTV Challenge, there is an OG/All-Star season on P+ that's pretty good.

Also, Trey Parker and Matt Stone just signed a gigantic deal to do South Park movies and specials for Paramount. IIRC the first one of those should happen before the end of the year.

Looks like they will also have some newly released movies (similar to the dual releases in theaters and HBOMax recently). For example, A Quiet Place II is on there right now.

There also are a couple docs that looked interesting. I started the Console Wars one last night about video games (specifically, NES vs. SEGA) and it's pretty good (I got about 2/3 through it last night before I had to leave).

Yes, you get access to your local CBS affiliate:

It's great if you want to watch Europa and Champions League. I believe it has other soccer as well. That's about it.

Well shoot, doesn't seem to be any way around having to purchase NFL Game Pass. I think I will just burn that money up through bass fishing instead.

I have it and basically only use it for sports. Europa and the champions league, Saturdays sec game and the Sunday NFL games.

Survivor reruns are on there. That's about all I would get out of Paramount+

There’s almost nothing on there right now. They have some upcoming developments coming through but they rushed the app into being live instead of waiting until they had a catalog worth a shite

I like it.. but I also watch a lot of CBS shows. Criminal Minds, NCIS, Clarice (terrible), Hawaii 5-0. I think a few of those (NCIS and Criminal Minds) are on other services.

I currently pay for:
Paramount+
Apple TV+
AMC+
Hulu
Prime
Netflix

I need to do some culling Still cheaper than having cable, though.

If every show that ever aired on CBS was on there, it would be the best streaming service out there.

Instead, you get a few random episodes of a few random "classic tv" shows. Gunsmoke was the longest running show on CBS. Paramount+ has two seasons. WTH?

I've been using it this month to catch up on Big Brother. Can't see having for more than a month or so a year.

I didn't watch them; just saw them listed and made a guess. Good to know.

Both seasons were good imo. I think I preferred the first season though.

But I really loved the ABC show Desperate Housewives. It’s from the same creator and has the same vibe as that show (the narration style, etc).
