Last few episodes were pretty good but I told my wife I’ve invested this much time need to see it through. Much like others said this show has been so implausible that was hard to watch. They never developed any characters and was much like a bad soap opera. Where is all the cash from the drugs that just keeps coming like at the beginning?
By the way I wondered why with Ruth making so much money over the years is she still living in the crappy trailer.

Actually, that's pretty smart. Why draw attention to yourself?

Others have mentioned but some of the more ridiculous things:
Frank Jr. goes from complete a-hole to total softy AFTER he gets his dong shot off? It's like all is forgiven! Yeah right.
Where is Darlene's muscle? Like how exactly did her and Jacob think they could take on a cartel? With that one inbred dude who quickly got killed in season 2?
Who exactly works for them? They showed some rednecks making heroin in a barn but there's literally no protection. That was a weak point for me.
And then there are the obvious WTFs like Marty being able to talk his way out of completely impossible situations.
And how the frick do they have time to have elaborate meals every night?
They act like KC is 15 minutes from the Ozarks which is another annoyance.

another thing that I didn't see mentioned before is the death of the sheriff. That dude grew up there, is a local, has been the sheriff for who knows how long, he drives over to the house where the cartel lawyer is staying and all of a sudden is never seen or heard from again. And aside from plugging in a new sheriff it's like it was never mentioned or thought of again! You'd think the entirety of the town's LE resources would be shaking down the Byrds nonstop

All valid points

To elaborate on my point about Darlene and Jacob.
Where did this irrational confidence come from? It seems like Darlene was the only enforcer in the family outside that big idiot.
I mean there's no protection. Frank Sr. just waltzed right in. No guards, nothing.
I can't remember but it seems like they maybe had guards in season 1 right?

Darlene and Jacob were the guards. But what Jacob knew is that Darlene was a wild card and made it harder for them long term. He was right and it also cost him his life and eventually hers. Once he was gone that was the end of any real stability they had. Crazy can only get you so far.

Yes and no. The sheriff was corrupt and on the take. Although he was probably popular I don't think it was that far fetched that he would be involved in some things that would be shady. Having said that, they may just be focusing on other things and leave it to be assumed that it is a big deal with the billboard but not really getting into it much.
