South Park over-exaggerated the amount of penises in GoT. I can only think of 3 characters/times from all 3 seasons that they've shown. South Park made it seem like there were 20 of them every episode. Much more female nudity in GoT.
And why are people comparing the pacing of TD to GoT? Both are totally different shows with different plots, settings, etc. Can't even compare them other than they're both HBO shows.

Bottomline...GREAT frickING FIRST EPISODE that hooked me. I have read every single post in this thirty something page thread just to get others viewpoints. Sorry I didn't bring anything new or interesting myself

In damaged detective murder mystery novels set in La, it seems like there is always a nasty politician or member of the old south aristocracy and a dirty religious figure involved in serial murders/ritualistic killings. I wouldn't be surprised (and hope) that this is used only as a misdirect here.

No way the preacher is the killer because that would just be lazy on the writers part. I believe the preacher, Govs brother, was introduced to cause some friction with MM. I believe the preacher will hamper the investigation, through his brother, at some point because he believes MM is a non Christian lunatic. I am referring to the white preacher, obviosuly, and not the preacher at the black church.
