Right but that's why the phrase "and then we will get started" sticks out. he's talking about a live Carl that he may be about to beat to death. The phrasing was curious

I really don't care who it is, TBH. If it was Daryll, Carl, Rick, Maggie or Glenn, they would have shown it for weight.
Because it wasn't shown, it loses any weight for me until October. There are plenty of people in that line up that it could be that don't matter and knowing the writers of this show, that's what they will do. They got their cliff hanger and it will be a second tier character.

It's obviously someone in the cage at the start of the episode since it showed POV from the cage. It's one of Daryl, Glenn or Michonne.

One of the dumbest sesson finales i have ever seen. No way after surviving for 6 seasons does group after group of "expert" survivalists just walk right into these traps. Total waste of an hour and a half.
Also watched some of the talking dead and sounded like the writers were hinting at showing flashback episodes next sesson to show how all this with neagan started. If so I'm done.

Really? Because most people I know only watch because they've already put too much time into the series to stop watching now. I'm with those people. I'm tired of the same crap. Watching the episodes isn't exciting anymore. Please for the love of God, tell me that next season is the final season.

Can't believe Talking dead is releasing the who got killed poll results. They have to know comic readers are voting for who got killed in the comics. So when 40% of the vote goes for a certain character while the rest are in the teens and single digits, you'll have your answer

I thought it was made pretty obvious that Rick & Co. were severely outmatched and underprepared (mainly strategically) for the their opponent, the Saviors.

I personally would welcome some backstory of Negan and the Saviors. At this point, I find the mystery of their story more intriguing than the Fighting Ricks.

I'm sure we will get lots of backstory on the Saviors for the first half of next season and then we'll get back to that scene at the midseason finale.

Man. That's a miserable reason to watch. All the people I know that watch it really love the show and its characters. I doubt it's close to being over.
