That was the shittiest, most poorly written, most manipulative and lazy episode of TV I've ever seen in my life.

I hated it on a structural level. Just terrible and not in a good way.

Fan vote to decide who dies. Might as well since they botched up the best moment of the whole thing.

They should do a fan vote, and then when all of the fans pick Sasha or freaking Aaron, they kill off Daryl just to piss in their cornflakes.

Yeah there are times they nail things from the comic but the show switches things up to so their are shockers for them as well. Either way it is fun to read the comments. Especially the smart arse comments. There have been a few good ones I have told guys at work.

It may be based on fan reaction.

Haha. Great bargaining tool. Private meetings with the whole cast. Even people who weren't in final scene.
"But I wasn't in the Negan scene"
"You died in your sleep! Out of my office!"

Glad I started late and let the DVD let me fast forward through commercials. That episode sucked.

I think it's Abraham also
he straightened up every time the bat came near him so as to offer himself up

plus he's clearly the muscle in the group
daryls already wounded, Maggie looks like shite, Eugene already got batted around, and we don't care about Sasha or spencer or rosita

and Glenn...whatever

this is the end of the road for Abrahams character
He's come full circle from traumatized to badass to human again
time to go

So then it has to be either Abraham, Eugene, Glenn, Darryl, or Aaron.

I think Aaron is out because he isn't a big enough character for that death. Maybe it's him, but I think that would just further anger people after this finale.

I doubt Eugene would be picked because why kill someone who looks useless? I also don't think it would have a big impact on the audience.

I'm thinking it is Abe, Glenn, or Darryl.

The angle of the shot suggests it was someone near the middle of the lineup, and it wasn't a woman. Abe makes the most sense, being an imposing figure

I've never shite on this show. I'm a fan. I take the ups and the downs and enjoy it.

I viscerally hated this finale. It was a circus of idiocy and manipulation. It was awful TV.

All of that build up for a poor episode and then you chickened out on the payoff ?

I'm pissed off as anyone, but I think I liked the finale. I was made aware that Rick and Co are currently outclassed and that their resistance is futile. I felt the helplesness at every road block and felt it myself by not knowing who the hell got a bashed in skull. I know I will be watching live come October

Why wouldn't Negan just kill them all? I mean, shite, they killed 30+ of your guys.

He said himself he wanted them to work for, him. Someone who could take out that many of his guys could be very useful.

The manipulation didn't bother me. There was a point to it. Showing the hopeless situation ricks crew was in and the overwhelming force of the group they just stirred up. Now the last scene was what was wrong with it. Man up and show the fricking death and the character.
