Idk why people are hating on SFP. He isn't ruining the thread with cheap insults or anything. If he's bothering people that much just ignore him.

I'm concerned with one thing in the show. I have my own vision of how it's going to end. And if the show were a marathon they would still be at the starting line. I'm looking forward to some epic shite happening, I mean, think of the possibilities! Yet each week we get the same ole stuff. I enjoy the show, just wondering when shits gonna ramp up.

What "epic shite" are you expecting? We already have a loose interpretation of what's going to happen with the comic books.

I mean they executed a fricking 12yr old last night. I'd say that's kind of epic??

but as far as believability goes it's out there and that was one of your big beefs with TD. T

well the shows are different. i can give suspension of disbelief when it can further the story (which i did early on with TD and rust). the americans has a very layered story with a lot of tension and nuances

it hasn't devolved into a show that throws away the plot to leave 1 uninteresting character and 1 completely bullshite one

if it does, i will hate it

I mean. What's going on in other states? Countries? Continents? What's happened to all the weapons and bombs and stuff? People could be taking over the new world, and we're watching people pick and eat berries and shite.

i think he's thinking of a much bigger scope. what happened last night isn't even novel in the series for the most part

Do we really need to do that in a thread that is about a specific episode that has already aired? What sort of person would come into a thread like this and not expect to see discussions of things that happened in the episode in question?

This thread wouldn't be 28 pages save for the repeated posting of a few that don't even care for the show. That's just weird.

The site needs an ignore feature for threads like this. It would cut down me wasting 30 minutes of my life for this thread alone.

I don't know what people want from this show. It is now and always has been about the human side of the zombie apocalypse. What good would it do creating all of these back stories if they just jumped around the country every episode?

to be fair

this season is doing just that, essentially, and it has re-energized a lot of viewers

Yeah, it kind of it. They hadn't killed a living child until last night.

Not really. They're jumping around to the existing characters as they've been split up. All of them are within miles of each other.

Dude, if that is what you were/are expecting out of this show, then you need to go ahead and start watching something else. As has been stated numerous times in these WD threads, this show is not, nor ever will be, about the bigger picture of what is happening in the rest of the country/world. It is and will always be about the affect of this new reality on human nature as played out in the story of Rick's group. It will never expand beyond that.

You have a point. But I don't think this is nitpicking...at this point we're well aware of the human element involved in this ZA. It's tough, we're executing kids...now let's pick this shite up.

As far as distance they travel per episode...I think they pigeonholed themselves. Pretty much every single house the groups have found this season could have been just as effectively presented with a few lines of flashback. I didn't need to see Rick and Carl sitting in that house for 1 or 2 episodes to soak in that part of the story.

If I'm watching a movie and a guy wakes up, gets dressed, and arrives at work with a Starbucks coffee I can paint a nice picture of what he did in my head. I don't need to watch him sit in the drive through and dodge a squirrel leaving the parking lot.

I don't mind being in the dark.

I enjoy watching the struggles of their everyday lives in this world.

Maybe I'm just boring though.

I don't know what to tell you then. This show is about this group and always will be.

That's exactly why I like this show. It wouldn't have made sense to just have Rick and Carl up and leave that house in an episode. Rick was almost dead when they got there. IRL they would've had to stay in a safe place for a couple of weeks at least.

In a movie they have 2 hours to tell the story. They have as long as they want with TWD.

I think that's horrible. In my opinion, in these types of situations(end of the world type stuff) the ONLY goal is to spend every waking moment trying to fix the situation. There is ONE acceptable endgame. Either we figure out wtc happened to the world, or everyone dies and the show ends.
