The large fire is like a bug zapper for zombies. The heat and light the fire gives off probably drew zombies right into it.
Unfortunately fire doesnt seem to kill those frickers.

Yep. Emotions and nerves im sure but she does seem out of it.
Maybe she popped a couple of Valium to get through the Talking Dead.

Filming those scenes had to be rough on the kids.
Guess you aren't watching Talking Dead?

I dunno if I think that spoils anything. Obviously Tyrese and Carol are raising Judith at the moment.
If she said something about that situation changing at some point I think that would be a spoiler. As it is she just said what we all assume will happen.

One of the best episodes I've seen since the first season, take or leave a few.
Had the same feel of the comics.

I thought it was kind of a spoiler because the way she said it made it sound like she knew that she would now raise Judith to at least the age of the girls and Sophia.
But when I really think about, I doubt the showrunners would give her that much info about the future of the show.

Yeah that's kinda what I mean. There's no way for her to know that. I think she just misspoke.

i dunno....given what happened, it was certainly a jarring episode, but the pacing of this season & last season has given me fits. if the show's budget is on that much of a shoestring, then just give us 6-episode seasons & cut out all the fat. of course 'tho, that'd be bad for business....

yeah i don't get why this episode is getting its proverbial dick sucked. some shocking shite happened
and the reason people are enjoying this season so much is b/c it's not stagnant, like pretty much every one other than season 1 was (farm, prison, etc)

I wish they would have ended the governor storyline at the end of last season and done the current story turn at the beginning of this season but they screwed up the governor storyline last season so it all got backed up. I think they've done a good job of recovering from the travesty that was season 3.

well SFP let's play this game.
How else are you supposed to move places really quickly while filming?

The farm storyline in season 2 was done perfectly imo. The prison/governor storyline in season 3 was awful.

Are you keeping track of everyone's thoughts episode by episode again to observe and comment on any potential shifts in opinion over time?

whoa. it's not my fault that the premise of the show doesn't lend itself to tv
the SFP theory that tv shows go on too long truly applies to tWD. it's a 3-4 season show, max.

different strokes for different folks.

They really killed that storyline. Had this season turned out as bad as last I would have definitely stopped watching.
It was obviously a good idea to can Mazzara.

it's not stagnant...but IMO the same story could be told in a 2-hour movie, without any key points being left out. as it is, there's alot of padding in between zombie kills...

did you ever read the comics?
Just curious because of this response.
Just a simple yes or no, don't want to get into spoiler regions.
