I never even thought about this. You'd think they could at least put up fake grass for filming.

IMO, if you openly admit to trolling/posting spoilers in a nonSpoiler thread, you should immediately be banned.
People have definitely been banned for trolling fake spoilers before.

quote:they only care about the TV show. Reading the GN does not provide all the answers. In fact, sometimes it can confuse you. It is fine for them to ask questions and wonder about things that haven't been shown on the show yet. It isn't all there in the comic.
It's just silly some folks who want more information about the show haven't read them.
If I was a non-reader, I would've been pissed at all the people who were super pumped about Abraham. He's now been built up into this awesome character that we haven't seen on the show yet. The tv show could take a completely different turn, and people would be disappointed with his character arc. And, the only reason they'd be disappointed is because GN readers have built him into something the show hasn't fleshed out yet.

There was that guy from the SECrant who posted that picture of Norman Reedus from a different film.

Correct. But, I'm not a douchebag. You can review the last several years of my post on the Movie/TV Board. You will find that I've posted zero spoilers and never had a post RA'd for being a GN douchebag poster. It can be done. And, most of the GN readers have actually been able to post in the No Spoiler/Comic threads without issue. It is only a few retards that have made these threads almost unbearable week after week.
See Methuselah's psot:

any kind of speculation that you engage in will be informed by your comic reading. And it will seem to be informed by it even in cases where it might not be.
Yes, even if the plot of the show does not follow the plot of the books very much. And even if you don't think you are "spoiling" anything. The fact that you have read all the books, that the books contain certain characters and events that are the same as the show, and that in commenting on what you think will happen or how a character will behave in the show necessarily gives pause to those of us who have chosen not to read the books.

You mean the host of Talking Dead?

That pic took the internet by storm.

I would claim those few are the ones constantly looking for comic book readers to act like a spoiler was posted.
BTW, I don't "look for" comic shite posted. But I clicked the last page of this thread and read the ~6 posts on it, and two of them were about/mentioned comic things. That's ridiculous in a thread so clearly marked "no comics." That's the gripe I have.

Nah. It's just silly some folks who want more information about the show haven't read them. They're all available for free on youtube and it would take less than a day to catch up even at this point.
It's just odd some folks seem to think we've put some grand effort into this.
Quite the contrary actually. Like you, and several other readers, have put it, it's so easy to read the comics. What ya'll don't get is that some of us don't want to read the books. It's not that we can't read or that we are too stupid to (both comments that have arisen several times), it's that we'd like the television show to be our only intake of The Walking Dead.
Like Methuselah said a couple pages back...comic readers posting here poses the problem of them "speculating" on the show...only it's not just speculation because they have the knowledge of what happens in the books to guide their thought processes, which they in turn do to nonreaders. It would be like a reader posting in season two that he thinks Shane will turn into a zombie and he and Rick will have a showdown. Well, that's nowhere near speculation since that actually happened in the comics (or very similar).
That's the problem. That's why there are (should be) two separate threads: one for readers to discuss episodes and one for nonreaders to. Because they're simply not on the same plane when it comes to drawing upon knowledge bases to discuss things from.

Just wanted to stop and say sorry for being a dick. I've already been warned twice for this one instance. Won't happen again. The show seems to be a touché subject and a lot of people take it very seriously. Again I apologize.

I haven't posted about anything from the comics in this thread.

Thanks. Like I said, nothing personal and some of have been on the other side during other shows. But we learned and seems you have too.

Can you guys take your spoilers vs non-spoilers argument somewhere else. Just make a new thread about it and discuss it there. It is getting pretty dang ridiculous. Thanks guys.

Since it appears that Tyrese, Carol, Judith, and the children of the corn are headed to Terminus Along with Rick, Michonne, and Carl. How awkward is it going to be between Carol, Tyrese, and Rick?

You and the other gumps can go make your own thread where yall can talk about characters based on how they are in the comics. The whole reason this thread is 5 pages of arguing over spoilers is you dumbasses think it's funny to go against the title of the thread and talk about the comics.

Although I've literally said those exact words many times before to no avail. They just can't not post in here.
You definitely have. I've said the same. I pop in and out but rarely post as I'm in the comic reader dept.
I knew after watching last night that a Liberty type wouldn't be able to stop themselves from commenting though.
They just HAVE to tell you they know something. It's like, if they don't make a comment of some type, they'll develop stage 5 arse cancer and drop dead by days end.

I haven't read one damn WD comic, not one. Don't throw me in with the other comic readers. I'm just getting tired of half this thread being an argument about what is or isn't a spoiler.
Posted on 2/24/14 at 1:08 pm to Bamatab
Well, defending your fellow gump makes you guilty by association.
Bottom line, if Liberty doesn't posts semi spoilerish stuff, the last 5 pages don't happen. Maybe next week, he'll keep that kind of stuff in the thread made for that.

I can see them all meeting up prior to Terminus. Yes it will be awkward and quiet.
Scene: Night attack by walkers due to Judith's crying. Lizzie returns to her tactic of quieting Judith by clasping/smothering her mouth. While the adults are fighting walkers, Carl falls back to protect Micah,Lizzie and Judith. Carl sees Lizzie in the act of quieting Judith and kills her on the spot. Rick,Carol.Michonne and Tyrese all witness Lizzie's put down but not the motive. Thus splitting the group up again.

Ok. Moving on from the arguments.
I am really liking the 2nd half of the season. With everybody broken up but kinda sorta starting to drift back together a little.
And with the change of scenery and the fact that the different groups are in different security situations. Rick, Carl and Michone had a pretty good set up against zombies - a house where they couldn't get in and places to forage for supplies around. Of course the house didn't seem to be much help against other humans, especially bad ones.
Darryl and Beth just seem to be out and the open and are having to deal with zombies popping up on them. They seem to be in the most dangerous situation.
Glenn and the 2 hot women and Bull Randleman and the mullet scientist are interesting. New characters to get to know. They seemed to be pretty secure so high up in that truck. Until the doffus shot up the gas tanks. Now we have to see how they land.
