There's at least 100 zombies surrounding Glenn. Even if he uses Nicholas as a shield, they can still eat him all the way through to Glenn. The only thing that could save him is a big distraction out of nowhere and that would be terrible writing.

Could have realized what was happening and shut the frick up while they were still working on Nicholas. Wasn't he one of the first ones to figure out that being covered in walker guts was like camo?

Regardless of if Glenn is dead or alive, I don't want a Morgan flashback next week.
I like Morgan as a character but I hate his passive ideals. I don't care how he became that way or how he caught up with the group.
