I did not like this episode. I don't need my zombie shows trying to go all artistic. This episode was too circular.

Fun factoid from last night. The voice heard over the radio was Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) speaking using his real British accent.

About 10 pages back, it was mentioned

Norman Reedus said the director was a beast in this epiosde
.
Andrew Lincoln called it one of the two best episodes ever. And why he moved to America to work with actors as talented as Chad Coleman.

The terrible acting in the show is starting to take its toll on me. The writing is so inconsistent and seems to lack any kind of direction.

"The acting sucks."

"That plot didn't make sense. Zombies wouldn't really act that way."

"I don't want real people in my zombie show."

"These people aren't real. They actually make mistakes."

See y'all next week!

I see a lot of bitching about the bitching, and it's fricking ridiculous. Just because you're critical of a show doesn't mean you aren't or can't be a fan.

shite, I've said since S1 that the acting on TWD is borderline laughable at times, but I've always loved the show. Admittedly, it's gotten a little better over time, but it's still pretty bad pretty often. But that doesn't mean I don't like the show or enjoy watching it. I love how people act like others can't be critical of anything sometimes..it's hilarious.

I think it is more of the bitch just to bitch...if you say that it sucks and you hate it, give some examples...

For example your post earlier on in the thread about your commentary of the episode was perfect.

But a lot of people don't make comments like that in here

Doesn't bother me when people make legit complaints about the show.

But I do find it laughable when people bitch about "Zombies don't act like that!". WTF? THEY'RE ZOMBIES. How the hell do people know how they act.

Or people saying Tyrese couldn't have survived this long without making a mistake or getting lazy. Sure he could have - it only takes one momentary lapse of concentration or high stress. I drive daily and haven't been in an accident in 20+ years of driving. Doesn't mean I won't have a shitty day or get distracted one day and get into an accident.

That's just nitpicking to be nitpicking. And then they will be back one week from now nitpicking the same crap.

I thought the episode was great overall. My one beef is having Tyrese go out like he did.

He was the one that went into the house to "sweep" it for safety. I know all it takes is a quick lapse and all but being the huge tough guy that he was (albeit in the past) most people just wanted him to go out in a blaze and glory kind of way.

And instead it was just like a zone out moment, which got him killed, and I will admit, that was more realistic than some crazy zombie stunt. But my beef was that his sole purpose was to check the safety of the house, I just don't think a picture on the wall would have made him zone out like that.

It's another "YOU HAD ONE JOB" type moment.

This episode annoyed me more than the entire season they spent on the farm. I don't give a fat flying frick about artistic circularity in the directing, I want a good story and some zombie-killing magnificence. The world's longest death scene aspect of the episode was okay, but the acid trip artsy bullshite, much like the Star Wars Christmas special, should never see the light of day again.

this is what will polarize this episode with the audience, some people like it, some people don't

Yup. This is either my favorite show, or tied, and I thought this episode was the worst ever.

Is it possible that Tyrese dwelled on the picture because he came to the realization that Noah had twin brothers and wasn't himself a twin? That's how I interpreted it, it was actually clear to me if Noah was a twin or had twin brothers.
