Well, looks like I was wrong. 6 battles left, they will definitely stretch them all out for the full 2 hours just like they did tonight.

Just got around to watching this:
- WTF is with the love for the model that sounds like an alien? I cringe when she sings. And C-Lo said that he didn't know what range the rockers had. Dude, they just kicked her arse singing Tina Turner, not Ozzy Osbourne. I hate when they pick someone based on potential and not who actually won the battle. I can make a weird sound when I sing too to song unique, but it will also sound like shite, much like this girl.
- Jermaine and Pip both killed it. Great performances by both.
- That Alyx chick was beyond strange. What was that line she had at the end "sometimes you just have to say what the hell". OK?
- Good battle to end the show but I think Gwen was better. She was one of my favorites after the auditions. Blake also pretty much admitted that she was better but thinks the other girl can do more. Stupid decision IMO.

I don't know why people would expect there to not be 6 battles this next show...they've all been like that.
This week's battles were fricking terrible. The alien model chick sucked, but the rocker brothers were so awful that she wins by default.
I am VERY disappointed in the show so far this year...not many standouts, and the battles are bad (for the most part...there are some good ones).
I can't imagine how bad that hip hop dude on Christina's team is gonna be. I wonder if she gives him and whoever he's battling something like a Black Eyed Peas song where there's rapping and singing to make it more even...

Model chick couldn't hit a single damn note.
And why have battles, if you are judging on potential? You can judge potential in rehearsal.

Every time she sang, I was so "WTF"'d out that I thought I was on acid. Seriously, I had to listen to Roseanne Barr squawk out the National Anthem afterwards just to make me feel positive about life again.
I hope she's blowing the shite out of Cee-lo, otherwise his decision makes no fricking sense.

And that is the thing that is annoying me the most - don't match up 2 of your best singers just because they have similar styles because it is going to leave people like this a chance to move on. While I am grateful for the Jessie and Anthony duet, I feel that Anthony was one of the better singers there and got matched up with probably the best.

I can't help but wonder if she's going to stack the deck for him like she did the lesbo-rocker last season (by picking songs much more familiar to her and in her range than that of her competitors). It would seem to be the only way he could move up.
That or sing against weird harmonica-guy (but he's already been sacrificed).

He is one of the best. And he won that battle round IMO. Sure, Jesse may be the best singer on the show, but that goes back to what someone just said...why have battle rounds if you're not judging them on the actual battle? There have been several times where the person who sang a better battle didn't move on because the other person was either better overall or had wider mass appeal (which, let's face it, is important since America will be voting).

Well 2 episodes ago they kind of screwed over the folk singers, especially the super macho lesbian one. She had a ton of talent, yet you put her against the rocker chick singing "Stay with Me" by Rod Stewart. The fix was in on that one.

Yeah but these coaches should be more interested in coaching and finding the best voice and not winning a popularity contest. If they do that, they sacrifice the integrity of the show IMO. And it's not the coaches win anything. Just find the most talented vocalist of the group while trying to help those on your team as best you can. That's it.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. When they pick songs like that you can't help but wonder if they are purposely sabotaging certain singers.
