Pretty deep stuff.

IMO, this is the reason that some people said they didn't like it. I enjoyed the hell out of it, but honestly, I'm going to go watch it again to try to tie up some of the minute questions I have. I loved the fact that there were many plot twists and turns. I agree it was a bit long, but it needed to be. I still didn't have a problem sitting and watching it though.

I really don't know where it's going from here. I'm not that sure about 2 face's character either and which way he would go. But I guess that's wh he's called 2 face.

It sucks that he's dead and I hope he doesn't get credit for this role because hes dead, but damn the Joker was amazing. Ledger could not have done a better job. I remember when it was first announced that he was going to be the Joker, people here was questioning it. I bet you're not questioning it now.

I've started using the Dark Knight as a measuring stick, when someone asks me how good something is I say:
"It's no Dark Knight!"

^My new catch phrase....

just got back and wow......

awesome fricking movie. I was worried I was going to be disappointed in Ledger after all the hype its gotten the past few days, but man he fricking knocked it out of the park. I never go see a movie multiple times in a theatre, but I may change that

spoilers I guess

I really have no clue how they can do a 3rd film after this. Even if Dent is still alive like some here speculate he just wasn't interesting enough to bring back. To me it looks like the plan was obviously to bring Joker back, but I can't see any actor wanting to touch this role anytime soon.

Yeah, there's really no easy way to have the joker in the third movie, you either have to cast one of the best actors in the world, like depp or daniel day lewis, but they wont even wanna touch what Ledger did. If they have any stock footage or dialogue they can use that if the joker is in Arkham and maybe just use a line or two if batman goes there, I dont know. There's going to be a third movie, some people are saying the way it ended was perfect to close the series but I dont agree at all, you can end it with Gotham thinking Batman was responsible for everything, but just dont know if Nolan will be the director or a producer of a third film, but either way would be good.

So I tried to see Dark Knight tonight, but all fricking showings were sold out. I have found it online and I am about to watch it. I know it will not be near the theater experience but I plan to see it in theaters as soon as possible, hopefully tomorrow.

The quality is not great, but it is better than most bootlegged movies. It is better to have Mozilla to watch it.

Spoilers

for me one of the best parts of the movie, and one of the most overlooked i think, is when alfred relates the story about the jewel thief.
later when wayne asks how they caught the jewel thief he says "we burned down the forest".

i think it really shows the moral dilemma, and it kind of asks the question how far are you willing to go and how much are you willing to sacrifice to accomplish your goal.

Exactly. Aaron Eckhart as the primary villain would suck. He just wasn't large enough.

agreed. I just got back from the movie and I am seriously considering going with my sister again tomorrow. Ledger was PERFECT for the Joker. Man I have never in my life seen someone take a character and nail it like he did with the Joker. The only word to describe this movie is "EPIC".

ETA: I am seriously hoping for the Riddler in the 3rd. I want to see that character as sadistic as the Joker was in TDK.

My Review.

1st off I never do reviews. I either a.) like the movie, b.) hate the movie, c.) would bone the leading lady and that would cause me to like the movie. Well I was not disappointed. One should not have been allowed to laugh as much as I did in an action movie. The vanishing pencil trick was my favorite 1 part of the movie. The Joker had so many 1 liners it was great. Like i've said before he didn't play the joker he was the joker. I really can't fathom how good he was. His performance imo is up there with Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday and to me that's the best single acting performance ever.

The movie was a good length. 2 1/2 hours was enough time to tell what needed to be said. There was also just enough Harvey in the movie. Not too much and not too less. I also would not be surprised if this movie ended the series. I think what might have set it in stone is the fact that Harvey had an actual funeral. If anything he was going to be the villain in the 3rd installment. That with the fact that Bale has 4 movies filming in 2009 idk if he's up for it. Unless he signed on for 3. But the fact that Harvey had a funeral and they tied up that loose end speaks volumes to me.

This movie is without a doubt in my top 5. I'm making room for it. Also if Heath doesn't get Best Supporting Actor I will cut myself.

My 4th greatest movie of all time,I like two face a lot,the joker was awsome. In the next one they will include The Riddler,Toyman, and the penguin, If someone plays the peng.. I really hope this guy can do what heath did.

10/10 for me.

There will never be a penguin as long as Bale/Nolan do the movies.

You don't get it. Nolan and Bale said if they ever do the penguin they will quit the movies.
