Look down for just a minute and you'll miss it. Not a very long scene.

edit: Found it. Around the 5:30 mark or so.

Not sure how I missed that

The posters have slowly but surely dropped out of the thread. Basically just 4 or 5 of us now. I'm going to be sad when it's over

Time to start talking about what the next re-watch is.

I’ve been toying with watching The Leftovers for a while. I’ve only ever seen the first episode.

But I imagine if I jump into that I won’t want to keep the pace of a rewatch thread and will go much faster than that.

Also been itching to rewatch The Wire again.

Also thought about Oz but am on the fence about that one.

Also every time The Boys comes out with a new season it makes me want to watch Banshee. Never seen it but have heard really good things.

Just some suggestions.

Holy Moly what a great show! I was already watching when I found this thread so I left it alone. I saw a post about women watching and this is exactly my kind of entertainment.

It was quite surprising to find out that Flint and Berringer are brothers in real life and that Dame Maggie Smith is their mother. Now I am seeing that Flint is married to Hudson in real life as well.

In my opinion, Vane and Silver were the best characters.

Not discussing the final 3 episodes just yet.

By the way, I say we just open up the full discussion now, since it's just us basically and there doesn't seem to be anybody still following/keeping up with the thread discussion. Plus I am out on vacation next week so I finished the series up last night, and I won't be at a computer at work next week anyway.

Thoughts?

I didn't know anything about Black Sails until this thread. It has made it's way into my Top 5 dramas ever. Have thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciate all of the insights everyone has provided. Thanks to all who have played along.

First couple of episodes are kind of rough (not polished), I'm guessing many people bail right away.

I tell people all the time when talking about shows to watch, but few seem interested for whatever reason. Even people that I know for a fact would love it. It's strange.

Yea that's cool. I've been away from the computer for a couple days so I haven't been able to check TD. I can update the OP a little later or if you want I can update it tomorrow AM. I'll be able to finish the series tonight.

It's my favorite show of all time. I'll do a re-watch at pretty much any time It isn't for everybody because of how weird it is but I love weird and given that you love (I think) LOST, I'm pretty certain you would love this. Same writer and he learned from some of the mistakes he made on LOST and he sticks the landing in The Leftovers. Such a unique story, very odd, but also seems very realistic, and some of the best acting you will ever see on TV.

Just did a rewatch but I will jump in the thread.

Same. Never watched it and can't really pull the trigger. It's one of the shows I've kind of convinced myself for some reason that I wouldn't like it.

Banshee could be cool. That'd be my first watch.

It'd almost be good if it was on Netflix since more people on the board would have access to it but I think most everyone has MAX.

We could possibly do a mini series like Chernobyl and take one or two episodes a week to stretch it out slightly longer. That would be one I'd have a hard time not burning through though.

Also have comedies like Eastbound and Down and Vice Principles. A few random HBO dramas: Carnivale, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, Boardwalk Empire.

Netflix: Dark, Narcos, Stranger Things, The Crown.

It wasn't too terribly long ago that I watched them but a cool watch would be watching The White Queen, The White Princess, and The Spanish Princess series consecutively. Kind of soap opera(ish) but definitely worth a watch.

Amazing series. Short and to the point. Not a lot of wasted episodes. Yes some of the fight scenes are crazy but that may be what makes it good.

Its a very good storyline as well and some fantastic characters.

Mine also.

But I understand how polarizing it can be.

Banshee is entertaining as hell, but there's not much "substance" to it.

how funny; i just started this a few days ago when i was jonesing for something good after BS.

i could be IN on a watch/rewatch since i'm only 2 EPs in. so far its very entertaining

not too many shows where one of the baddies is an excommunicated amish dude.

2 eps in and there's a bit of a waylon/bo crowder vibe between the main character & the amish dude.
