It is really strange that CBS's major summer reality show for the last 20+ years is getting little to no buildup. I don't watch much Live TV anymore, but we watch the news on our local CBS affiliate almost nightly, and I haven't seen any commercials, or hardly a Julie Chen-Moonves appearance.

Last season was pretty good, but maybe only because the previous couple of seasons were pretty awful.

I have to imagine their ratings have tanked steadily the last 5 years.
My situation mirrors what several others ITT have already said. Devout watcher for YEARS. Live feeder, constant message board poster...just obssessed with all things going on. BB19, I think that's the year with Paul2 and Josh and the marine badass and the hottie he ended up marrying IRL, is when things really soured for me. But hey everyone deserves a pass so maybe next yera will be better. Then they follwed that up with the all-black season were no whites would be even remotely allowed to win and that was it for me. Havne't watched a single second since.


What relaly drew me to BB to begin with was the social/pyschological experiment aspect of it. Basically- "let's take a random slice of the America public, young/old/different races/backgrounds/etc, throw them in a house, and let them duke it out and see what happens". As the years went on they brought in exponentially less older people and it was almost majoriy young people no older than 25. Every season saw hotter and hotter casts. It was drifting away from whta made it awesom eand just turning into some bland shitty MTV hookup show. then when you had poeple admittedly just going on there to plug their instagram or whatever the frick they do outside the house instead of actually wanting to play the game...enough was enough.

Jesus Christ this cast looks like dog shite. Looks like half of the cast is unemployed and going out to riot and protest

You have an unemployed guy from Los Angeles who looks homeless.
You have an art instructor who says she broke and needs the money the most who looks like a hippie liberal who protests
You have a 23 year old unemployed guy from utah
You have ugly nerdy looking girl from south dakota
You have gamer (aka adult who plays video games on her couch all day like a child)

How much do they pay these CBS casting directors

Last year was better than the last couple of years but it still isn’t what it used to be. I will give it a shot but probably be bored before Labor Day.
