The problem is that after Steve nominated the Austwins, it became apparent that there are now two distinct sides, and Vanessa is in between them. So no matter how much anyone would like to put up Vanessa, they almost can't now since there are so few HOH left.

She's sitting pretty right now with both sides. I think JMac would consider back dooring her if given the chance.

You would think. But I think for some reason Vanessa (who is the swing vote) has decided to try and appease the Austwins and vote to keep Liz, unless she is playing them.

I was just reading Joker's and saw that. Why on Earth would you keep Liz? She's better in comps and that keeps the power couple together.
I guess she thinks Austin/Liz have a better chance at HoH than Austin/Julia. The way she's aligned herself I can see how this is a better play. They will go after Steve and Jmac which gets her to Final 4.
If she gets to Final 2, she wins hands down, unless she's sitting next to Liz.

I guess Vanessa truly thinks that Liz and Austin will actually keep that ludicrous deal she made them agree to. If they were to actually keep it, then it is a really good deal for her. But if they actually keep it then they are the dumbest players ever. I'd be shocked if they did.
